His best role imo is Malcolm X. The way he was able to portray Malcolm at different stages in his life and to show how Malcolm evolved each time, was amazing. Denzel definitely deserved the Oscar for that (although Pacino was great in Scent of a Woman too). Denzel was also great in Devil In A Blue Dress, Man On Fire, Fences, John Q, Equalizer 1, Glory, A Soldier’s Story, Philadelphia, Antwone Fisher, Flight, Training Day, Inside Man and several others.

He was great in Flight, Malcolm X, Man on fire and very memorable in Training Day. I haven't seen everything he's been in so he might have some other great performances I haven't seen. I put Denzel right up there with Pacino and Deniro as the best actor of his generation.
