@PokeRedstone
@PokeRedstone 6 жыл бұрын
Because there were A LOT of good games last year. And I mean A LOT. It was arguably the best year in gaming so far. The competition for GOTY was tighter than ever, and it shouldn’t really matter that much. If you loved the game then more power to you. It sold well too. Critically, it was received better than most recent titles. People just thought it wasn’t on the same level as other games that came out. Hell, I’m sure there were people at IGN who argued for it. It’s a decently large office and pretty much everyone there gets to put forth a game they loved.

Let’s be honest Ashraf and his team have saved this series not once but twice now with Black Flag and now Origins. Ubisoft owe them a lot. I have a lot of respect and admiration for him and his team in the effort that must have gone in to make this game. Enjoyed every minute of it and wish from now on (but probably won’t) that they are given sole capabilities at manufacturing the rest of the new series in this game. So much to do in this game if you take your time with it. We might as well now considering we have over a year and a half to wait for the next one!

Jairo Gonzalez I played all AC’s and I can tell you this is by far the best one in the series overall. The story isn’t AC2 great but with all the other stuff they added and that you can do it’s easily the best. Bayek’s voice actor is also amazing, the opening cutscene in particular really sent shivers down my spine and gave me goosebumps. There’s a fair share of glitches but I never encountered game breaking glitches, probably as buggy as AC4 which wasn’t that bad so you really have nothing to worry about. Hopefully I helped.

I traveled to Egypt to see all the 6 (3 Giza + step + Bent + Red) pyramids because of this game. In real life, the pyramids are much much bigger and also much much further away from each other (31 km from step to bent + red). So, if you are already impressed by the in game pyramids, you will be jaw dropped by the real things. You can go inside in three of them (2 Giza + red), truely bewildered by the ancient Egyptians design and the fact that they made it, all 6 of them.

I see that Ubisoft probably watched the J-P Houdin's documentary about how the pyramids were built, that is a must-see documentary. To me it's the best theory someone has ever come up with, most of what he explains makes sense. Also, if after watching that documentary you're still not mesmerized by the construction and the (true) purpose of this pyramid, there's probably something wrong with you!

The great pyramid was built wayyyy before 2500 bce , the church threatened the French archaeologists , because their original estimation conflicted with the biblical timeline , even old Egyptian historian, modern ones during the Islamic Khalifates rule , estimated the pyramids and ancient Egyptian civilisation to be over 10500 years old if not more

Pity Syndicate doesn't have a mode like this, it would be a nice breather in-between missions to just explore and get history on the areas in the game. I can see this mode being well used by me when I eventually manage to buy Origins.
