I’m so drawn in by the world building! Not only is the magic bright, colorful, and beautifully designed, but it seems to have such an interesting backstory. The big sister’s magic seems to come from draining life force, but the little sister and her friend look like they draw their magic from elsewhere. I was just so drawn in by how elegantly-crafted this was.

I think the big sister's magic was also originally non-draining (see the blue bird in the beginning), but changed to draining (green) when they started training

This animation and story was so incredible and beautiful, I wish we could see more. It's such a shame that so many things like these end up being one-offs.. I would honestly watch a whole series based on these characters, and I don't even really know them. I just see the amazing potential in this, and I wish it could continue past one music video

aw thank you! LOL it's certainly hard to make a whole show, but as an indie creator, I'm pretty satisfied with making a one-off! I'll keep drawing these characters for fun, maybe one day I can sit down and create something bigger

Its so cool how at the start, braid girl's magic is a blue color when they were both good, but when she's captured, her magic is slightly more green, like a teal color, then when she's fully bad, her magic is green in envy! This is so clean, so cute, I LOVE IT!

So glad this was recommended to me. Another beautiful animation from an extremely underrated artist! Amazing work on colors, composition and animation; Especially the flashback to the two sisters jumping in the air before transitioning to the duo was a spot on scene. You’ve perfectly captured the emotion and impact of that scene. Though if this was a longer film, I would’ve loved to see more of why the older sister was corrupted to really feel the weight of the younger sister’s emotions of the betrayal more. Another suggestion I’d give is to title the video as a trailer rather than a music video. At first I hesitated clicking when I thought this was going to be some music video as I’m not interesting in those. But I definitely don’t regret clicking now as this far exceeded my expectations as an animated film which I absolutely love. But besides those, everything else was spot on. The world building concepts are also very intriguing too, you’ve made me hooked to the story just within 3 minutes. Keep up the good work! Those 8 months really paid off :)

Wonderful worldbuilding with little words, I loved the elements of the magical creatures and how young children would use magic for fun, and I loved the detail of the soul magic the older sister did on the creature they saw while swimming, literally the light leaving from its eye was a great touch! I'd definitely would love to see a series about this story :D
