As of last week, Ignea signed with Napalm Records -- and I confirmed this with Helle Bogdanova on Discord. When I asked her why, what changed, she pretty much said that it was time to sign, as they had pretty much reached the ceiling of what they could do on their own. And, in my opinion, that is understandable. I just hope I get to see Ignea on tour with Unleash the Archers -- which would be a hell of a good time (no pun intended, lol)!

there are many gems in Ukraine, and Ignea is one of them...their album Realms of Fire and Death which this song appears on is literally "fire"...Seytanu Akbar from their previous album is definitely worth checking out...the vocalists name is Helle, pronounced Hell 🤘

I've been on the IGNEA train for about a year now. Unbelievable Napalm has not signed them yet. Check out their song "Alexandria". Helle's transitions rival Tatiana's from Jinjer, and their guitarist is amazing.

I have it on good authority that neither Napalm nor Nuclear Blast will sign Ignea, due to the demands that each label made upon the band. Needless to say, the band decided that it was better to go their own way, until they can find a suitable label.

@@isaiahwelch8066 Record companies do not go easy on new bands. You almost have to sell your soul to them to get a contract. Courtney Love's open letter was about this.

I would say the same thing about í Tokuni. The version Ignea does is a bit darker, which gives more credence to the idea of wondering around the darkness, in the mist.

They're a great band. Think about the fact that they have been at war continuously for many years--civil war, war with Russia, losing part of their country...that is why a lot of their songs have that sort of feeling. Great reaction!

Max Morton is Jinjer's producer. He discovered and paid for their first professional video that got them signed, "Sit, Stay, Rollover." He recently discovered Ignea and produced this record for them. Both bands Ukranian. I imagine upon discovering them he probably thought something like, "Wait. Two female clean-growlers? Could this be what the prophecy was pointing to?"

About the voice of Helle: once heard, you'll always recognize her voice. Rare. Like Stevie Nicks (btw: they both have in common this nasality. But it never harms.) Let me point out at another amazing musician: Eivoer Palsdottir from the Faroese islands. And her song i tokuni (in the mist). IGNEA have covered this song of her! I'll be watching Eivoer on oct, 2nd here in Hamburg. Watching her for my 3rd time. Nice rabbit hole! Try Trollabundin from her and also Falling free, live in Torshavn. You'll get an idea of how versatile her music is.

Please do more IGNEA songs! They’re an absolutely amazing band 🙏🏻. Helle is the singer. Evgeny is the keyboardist. He started the band and he also composes every single song. Alexander plays bass. Dimitri plays guitar and Ivan is the drummer. They are very creative and extremely nice to talk to. Check out their other clips- Seytanu Akbar, Queen Dies, Alga, Alexandria and their latest, Jinnslammer. You won’t be disappointed I don’t think 👌🏻

@@TheWolfHunterZ There are a few advantages to not being signed to a major label. Creative control being obvious... One of my favorite bands is southern rock/contemporary blues duo Larkin Poe (they're related to Edgar Allan Poe). They're signed to a dry cleaner in California. Yeah, not exactly a major label. But the "label" is simply investing financially, and has no control over their music.
