its scary to me because i relate to literally everything in your videos. the inability to be yourself in a relationship or even when i have crushes, the way I'm unable to think of all my bad experiences as myself and not some character in a book, taking things to heart and needing to process an opinion or feeling as my own before looking it up so i can own my thoughts and feelings and be assured they're mine, ALL of it. im so glad i found this podcast it's like i found my people lol.
@denarendall Жыл бұрын
Totally relate to being emotionally intelligent when I’m alone but a total mess when I’m with people. I think I’m working so hard to perform and fit in with the people around me that I lose my actual core self and therefore can’t connect to my feelings in the same way. Being around people is so fucking exhausting, it takes me days to recover!

I find that I tend to match other peoples energy in a group setting which is usually not very good for me but I think that makes me go against my own morals and self because I want to be accepted by people

use the version of you when alone as the goal, and everytime you interact with people fight to reach that goal, it won't be easy, it will include a lot of anxiety and losing people, but eventually you will reach it, it's a marathon not a sprint

what u said about not being yourself when ur in a romantic relationship, which is a form of self neglect/abandonment, its incredible to hear someone else feeling this bc i relate to that so much to the point that i dont think relationships r good for me. idk whats the solution to that .. atleast we r aware of that i guess? idk

I have my moon in cancer as well and I can totally guaranty you that if i d have listened to my intuition I had avoided a lot of bad people and terrible moments. Also, as Im finishing my masters and never dated in uni, I relate so much with ur concept of having a home away from home, at least just for cuddles, tho if I d have to go back, I still choose to only date if the guy matches my energy, cause otherwise it is draining and time consuming.

I just started this video so you might cover this but I want to reiterate or possibly make a new point, its not so much cutting someone off or out of your life but keeping them at a distance. I have many people that I would consider myself friendly with but I wouldn’t ever take it past shallow conversation. I hold my thoughts and feelings as possessions and I like that I only give them to specific people. I have learned to do this from being burned many times before, so im not just all knowing. Anyways, the moral of the story is to choose your close friends wisely. Choose who you confide in wisely. Yes, when you dont have anyone to confide in, its lonely, but get a journal or a therapist. Its better to have no one than confide in the wrong person

I think you have it, and if you feel it just go for it. I think you're a woman that's for sure, you're very intelligent, but men can be emotionally slow, its like a pendulum or a swing, men can think too logically and other things. I think people in general, people like you, need a hug, deeper connection that makes you feel how you feel towards the end of the video, and other areas that vulnerability if it isn't handle ideally or correctly, this happens. It's fine to feel that way, it's something that I kind of understand how you feel.

Hey madeline, great episode as usual, but just wanted to point out that there have been recent studies disproving the moon / menstrual cycle correlation. Whilst there are studies that agree, there are studies that also disagree, hence no clear answer is available at the moment (basically some studies agree with you and some don't is what I'm saying)
