as an American I love living in Mongolia. The travel can be difficult but on a motorcycle it is alot of fun. It is definitely a different world but it is a good world and a beautiful country and the people are great. I highly suggest visiting MONGOLIA at least once.Visit during the summer, winter here can be very brutal.

Yes, as a Mongolian who travels my country every year (travels for 4-5 days with my family) I can say that you need every traveling, hiking necessaries like canteens, traveling bags, rolling beds, USBs etc. Sometimes I gotta sleep in the car because I like it and I just can't deal with bugs. But traveling with 5 cars full of family members are fun man you can race, climb hills, and sometimes get your car stuck in sand but having associates in the places is very helpful because you can camp at their place. But you definetly need GPS cause you can get lost really easily in the dark and because of the natural terrain.

Hmmm that is an interesting question. I suppose you could always rent an SUV (a car won’t access all the places) and drive yourself. However, I can’t imagine relying on GPS and hoping it doesn’t fail. Perhaps someone in the comments can section can read this and assist. Our tour was good. Yes they told us a plan and we followed it but we had ample time to do whatever we wanted and never felt rushed. I had plenty of time to fly my drone also. I have to think about this.

Your tip is very good. I fail to understand when people complain about roads, showers or phone connections when they are in the wilderness, nmiddle of nowhere . Who the f*ck would build asphalt roads or modern toilets there? For wolves? Some people just don't do any research beforehand. You are not in some beach resort, it's back to the cavemen era adventure travel, not leisure one.

This sounds nothing like our tours to Mongolia-our ger camps have showers, veg food, floors in the gers, and toilet seats. Camps have toilet paper and towels. Horse or camel riding is certainly not mandatory. There are ways to travel within Mongolia more comfortably and still experience the country.

As mongolian woman we love foreigners and if you wanted to be friends there probably no one to reject. and about in the bar if you talk to random woman probably there wouldn’t be great response. It isn’t like we hate foreigners or xenophobia or aggression because first language problem ( kind of scared i think, if i don’t understand other person i won’t respond obviously ) and second in bar most men look for some girls and go to hotel someting like that so if you want nice chat or drinking companion you won’t find there (if you looking for one night stand you maybe can find if you understand each other i think ) Lastly my english is bad i hoping that you understand

As a Native Mongolian, I want to tell about of Mongolia. Mongolia is beautiful. Large territory, fresh air, blue sky, green lawn, livestocks, snow topped mountains and peaks, lakes, deserts and rich resources, traditional lifestyle. But unfortunately i want to let you know terrible truth of Mongolia. Actually its the one of most corrupted country in the world. Parliament and Presidential elections are controlled by Russian and Chinese government and its corrupted and injustice. The laws sounds humanity, justice but it doesn't work properly. Also there are so many unmarried male foreigners come from China, Korea,, Russia, Turkey, Vietnam, Japan, Yankee, German, Arabic. They owned and controlled major factories and businesses. They bribed Mongolian politicians and get licenses for mines and industries. In Mongolia there are So many private much Expensive hospitals becuz Mongolian Public health systems are maybe worst. People divided into 2 major groups. The Oligarch rich and the Poor. An addicting in alcohol getting younger and more popular. Smoking is almost everyone except children to 12old. Girls prostitutes themselves in more hidden ways. 4example. Imagine you earn at least 1000$ or more a month. Teen girls, young ladies will follow you. If They got unwanted pregnant jts so easy to abort like to wash hands. Girls dream is to get married with any Foreigner. They think foreigners are rich and smart.! This is why education system getting worser since the 1990. Absolutely Most of people don't understand don't speak even single word in foreign languages such as English Russian German or Spanish and so on. . There is no freedom for press. All Radio& TV channels, and newspapers, internet networks, especially telecommunication companies controlled by foreign and domestic powers. Almost no one knows Mongolian national main data base is under chinese and korean sights. Its located in western district in UB. Besides we have no rights to protect our rights. If we would demand human basic rights politicians won't listen or they will arrest people and then jail or kill us. . Besides Foreign governments are just supporting Mongolian Oligarch. They know Mongolia is corrupted. Because foreigners and Mongolian politicians want to keep it corrupted. WE WANT DEEP REVOLUTION IN MY HOMELAND. ! I already began from a small thing.! Sooner Mongolia will change.
