If he did die during that term, his Democratic VP Kamala Harris would have assumed the role of President. There wouldn't have been any risk of a Republican flip to Trump. And Harris would have had 1-2 years as an unelected President to show that she was qualified for the job and worthy to be elected to her own term in 2028. Progressives need to understand that every one does not view life the way they do, and that is okay. The safety nets must remain in place, but we also need to be able to pay for it. I love this and I have believed this and worked and argued for voting based on needs and logic and RESULTS but that is not how most American voters decide how or whether to vote, we have a majority sunk into emotional, reactive voting, and the idea that we do know them personally and vote against or stay home to boycott or "teach a lesson" to the politician that has not made their lives perfect in every way!

The messaging is the problem. If you poll regular voters about policy issues without telling them which party supports that policy, they OVERWHELMINGLY support the Democratic Party’s policies: paid family leave, restrictions on gun ownership, childcare, universal healthcare, and on and on….

I think part of the problem in regards to Biden doing the appropriate thing to combat the epidemic of Trumpism, was that he had so many years intimately dealing with folks in government and those people and rules had changed. I also think that was one of his strengths, because he was able to still work enough with them to get some things done. He even said though , “This is not your grandfather’s Republican Party”. He was right. But it wasn’t enough to deal with insanity. Even the multiple Psychologists I.e. Bandy Lee and the Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, over the last 8 years, couldn’t help. They’ve been blocked by the media. I think we need to stop blaming Biden. No one could have been perfect enough. Biden beat 45 once and I understand his desire and drive to do it again because our country was in peril. I also understand that some folks think he wasn’t up to it. I think the timing to force him out, was devastating, because we were on an upsweep in enthusiasm then multiple people started cutting him down publicly. It could have been done in a subtler kinder way that didn’t humiliate Biden, and didn’t look bad to the American people. But it looked really bad. I was 1 million percent behind Harris/Walz and still don’t understand how they lost… But I will blame all of the people who attacked Biden so venomously to force him out. They imho damaged the party and our upward energy. Anyone, anyone, who publicly condemned Biden to force him out, is complicit in my opinion. And I don’t think I’m alone in thinking this. Clooney, Reiner, the Bros, the Bulwark, etc, whoever… It’s their responsibility too. I’ve deleted all of them from my podcasts and social media. Remember how Al Franken was forced out to leave because of an “insensitive “ comedic photo from decades before? Clearly something pulled out of his history by someone on the right to defame him… Democrats don’t defend their own. So determined to do the right thing, that we slit our own throat. You notice, the Republicans always stand behind their people even when they’re disgusting criminals. Ok, I think I finally said it all…. Thanks for listening……
