Probably the most intelligent artist among the norwegian Black Metal scene, always there for the music and never involved in any shit. Is a real pleasure to hear him talking about mostly anything. Such a talented gentleman.

One of the best interviews I've ever seen. Ihsahn is such a gentleman, as always, and the interviewer clearly knows how to ask interesting questions! :)

It´s pretty rare to find a half decent " Metal interviewer" . Here´s a great example of one!

Ihsahn really does what a lot of other "progressive" bands wish they could do. Every album seems to have a completely different mood and feel to it, while still managing to be ungodly heavy. You also know exactly who you are listening to within seconds of pressing play. Much of it started with Emperor but begining with the last half of The Adversary he began to really shake off the past very effectively and create something that was fresh and beautiful yet brutally savage. Looks like we'll get two releases in the form of two new eps this year. Who else is waiting with bated breath to hear what he's done?

I just stumbled upon AMR and fell in love with this record. Greatly balanced, very focused, fantastic melodies, clever riffs and altogether an intelligent, strong record. Good to see Ihsahn is such a kind spirited man.
