Isn't Mitama's personal also mentioned in the story since, you know, her love for Haikus is literally her entire personality?

You could count that, but to my knowledge it never refers to the actual gameplay mechanic of her personal skill, where Sophie's skill really does strip enemies of their clothes. Dwyer's reaction to not wanting to get hit implies that Sophie probably doesn't have any control over it.

@@Bluegh The Japanese name of the skill is more like "Scatterbrained" rather than the English name of "Mischievous" - implying she's just kinda a klutz! The translators might not have had enough context to translate the name properly.

Do the stat boosters used in Heirs of Fate matter for the units in subsequent chapters?

It doesn't, but in chapter 5 there are two master seals you can obtain, and you are given the option to promote some characters (your choices are any two of Mitama, Dwyer, Ophelia, Hisame, Asugi, Nina, Soleil) and promoting them will give that unit level 15 skills in Endgame. Furthermore, if you promote Ophelia, Hisame, or Asugi into Sorcerer, Swordmaster, and Master Ninja respectively, those units will recieve the S rank weapon for that class.

I think Kana is supposed to be the youngest of the second gen units and that’s why they come off that way. Maybe I’m completely wrong. Not that makes them less annoying.

I completely agree. I think Kana, Percy, and Midori are supposed to be the youngest.

Yup, in female Kana's support with Shigure, she calls him a teenager with horror, implying that she might be around 10 years old or something. Makes sense that the Kanas would be absolutely devastated by the loss of their parent. They aren't just "child units", they're literal children.
