In finding channel gain , why are the equations of linear region being used ??

they are eqns of saturation region

The equation for linear and saturation are pretty similar with just some condition imposed on the equation for linear region. Since he already has imposed that condition by taking VDsat, it is equivalent to equation for saturation current

They are not quadratic because he assumed velocity saturation where equation is linear

Derivation is completely wrong. Please check it and correct because I myself is doubt then I verified and understand that you are wrong. Think about level and sir i dont discrimination you but you are pretty in education but IITs are not speaking confidently in lectures. It is our india.
