We fished the Brigantine surf yesterday morning at several locations trying to catch spot to use for bait. Not a bite anywhere. Only needed 1 oz sinkers, too. Headed over to the bay and caught more croaker than one would possibly want. We used our 4-hook white perch set ups with shrimp and clam fishbites. Worked like a charm.

@@richardcatalinajr.369 my rule of thumb is never spend more than five minutes at a spot on the beach if it’s not producing. There have been days where I’ve missed out on a bite by literal yards. A lot of my success this summer has been in rips and gullies.

@@RonMTube I posted one years ago on my Patreon but all it really is 2 dropper loops 6” apart (size 6 hooks with float), weight loop, & tie directly to braid
