Simeon, how on earth do you manage to play such a complex part and sing at the same time, yet make it look so effortless? And most of the time you're not even looking at the keyboard! Every video you make is full of joy, enthusiasm and amazing musicianship - I love watching them!

Aloha, that is so kind. What makes it easy for me is when you come across an instrument that invites you to play it with such ease. Tracy from INDIGINUS is a masterful virtual instrument developer with wonderful sensibilities. Thanks so much for your kind support, I really appreciate it.

I'm a guitar player myself, but a steel guitar I don't have, so this is interesting. You rock at playing bro!! If I close my eyes I don't think I would know that you weren't playing a real steel guitar!

Thanks again for the kind encouragement. It is a challenge for sure to emulate guitar voicings on a keyboard, but I try to put myself in the situation as if I were watching someone play or holding the guitar myself. It is lots of fun, and the particular library makes all the difference. All the best.

This is AWESOME! Love your tune, thought this added a great solo, gonna have to use some of my JAM POINTS! Awesome Talent singing playing while improvising that lead! For those that mobile produce IK has most of their iPad apps and samples 50% off through august, would love to do a comparison of quality and ease of use, really loving both desktop and mobile producing, the grandkids really dig it, my musical career is extended and being able to play, write and produce anywhere is beyond my dreams! Thanks Simeon, great performance yet again. Grandkids approved! Had our youngest dancing and he just started walkin!

That really makes me smile, I am so happy you guys were enjoying watching and listening. I think when you get down to it there is pretty much a parity in mobile and desktop production as the engines are practically running versions of the same code. The potential for mobile production and live performance is truly astounding, I can take my iPad, iLoud Speaker, along with the iRig Keys 49 and feel very comfortable playing. I think as they are able to increase the system Ram and allow for more file storage and interchange, it will continue to take us into some very exciting territory, Thanks so much for the very kind and encouraging support, it lets me know that I am right where I am supposed to be 🤓 All the best.

Thanks for the video! I figured out how to use midi notes to trigger strumming patterns but is there a way to trigger guitar chords with a strumming pattern using a single midi note? Example a single C note in midi that triggers a guitar chord voicing plus strumming pattern? I'm using a stock guitar in ST4 that came with the free version. Thanks!

Just got this - so much fun and well done. Needed this for some time for a few tunes I've been working on for 40 years. Fits the bill and the price? HOW could I have NOT gotten it - but glad I did. Great instrument. And as always a great review. By the way there is already an update to it - it's there under one of the tabs if you have the account open online and the instrument showing. Adds the midi Bluegrass, Easy Picking and Blues I think it is plus the Southern Slide files. BTW I was smiling at the scripture song the whole time it was playing. Loved it. Brilliant sir.

I had so much fun playing this instrument, and will have to check out the update. Discovering this library has challenged me to dust off the collection of songs I produced for what I call The Scripture Project, definitely stay tuned for more to come, Thanks so much for the wonderfully kind support, much appreciated.

@@PraiseTracks One of the things I wish they'd offer at some point - is a very good slide lap steel guitar. I know there is a good product out there but it's way out of my price range. But if they could do one as good as this guitar - that would be spectacular. Anyway just thought I'd re-comment. THANKS

Yes, and today Tracy the developer at Indiginus (creator of The Resonator), was generous to provide some of his Kontakt libraries which are very reasonably priced, among those were a Lap Steel. I have not had a chance to test drive them yet but you might want to check out the indiginus site here: www.indiginus.com/

@@PraiseTracks Thank you so much for this. I will definitely go have a look. Would be a great compliment to the Resonator. I learned to play guitar on my uncle's TOTALLY STEEL resonator acoustic guitar. It was HEAVY but had the best neck. Now osteo-arthritis and I can't play at all. Sold three good guitars, took up violin. But even that is ruined by arthritis. At least I can pick out a few notes still on the keyboard to work on music. Anyway thank you as always. Great stuff. Thanks. JUST went to Indiginous' site and had a look/listen to the lap steel. GREAT PERFECT - exactly what I was looking for and hoping for. Awesome. Thank you so much sir. So I just went and bought it. THANK YOU for pointing that out sir. MUCH appreciated.

@Simeon Amburgey i love the Indiginus libraries,i have several of them,the latest one is the lap steel guitar,great for country and hawaiian music it also has a great GUI wich runs in kontakt,didnt upgrade to ST4 from ST3,didnt see the need to,as always,great demo Simeon

Ronny, I just picked up the Mandolin yesterday, and what I can say is that there is such a consistency with all of the libraries that make them very easy to learn and incorporate together. All the best.

Simeon: Thank you for such a wonderful video. You are an amazing player and all of this twisted my arm just enough to make me buy of Resonator! My only issue is that I bought the version for use with the full Kontakt 6 and can't find many of the features that you are demonstrating, some of which were my reason for buying it to begin with. In particular the Demos and many of the chord features. The Kontakt version has some limited chord features but they do not function at all like yours do. Do you have any advice for me? My assumption was that the Kontakt version would be the very same as the Sample Tank version. Not sure what if anything I can do about this.
@PraiseTracks2 жыл бұрын
Hello PJ. I will check into this. I also have the KONTAKT version as well and it does have a lot of the same features, they are possibly laid out differently in KONTAKT. Could you tell me a specific function that you are not seeing in KONTAKT and I will most definitely check it out. Thanks so much for watching.

@@PraiseTracks : So nice to receive your reply, Simeon. I do love this library and find it very useful. To answer your question; One of the features that I liked when reviewing your video is the 6:30 mark where you demonstrated the phrasing/arpeggiator feature, demos, country picking, etc. I liked this because it provides a bit of the banjo effect that would come in handy. I don't usually find myself drawn to any of the automated or canned stuff but your application of this showed how valuable it might be. I cannot find a way to do anything like this in Kontakt. I do have a 'switch' for Arpeggiate, and it has a little slider beneath it that will allow one to modify it, but it does not really function as an arpeggiator as it just creates one simple strum, with no repeat. Also, the Strum Speed dial does not effect this in any way all, simply non-functioning here. It seems odd that they would release this product with varying functionality between the two GUIs. Again, I love what you do in your video. It is just wonderful and my heart and respect always go out to those who inspire us. So thank you for that, Simeon.

OK, I just pulled both of these up again. SampleTank 4 does have a dedicated pattern player that possibly was not available in KONTAKT when Tracy initially developed the Resonator. I did see the CHORDS function which is very nice. I am thinking a plugin like Scaler 2 could do some of the things like strumming and chords in a guitar voicing, I have not checked that out, but it seems like a potential solution. I really appreciate your kind support and am so glad you have been enjoying the content. Joyfully!

@@PraiseTracks: It's my pleasure. Thank you, Simeon. It is a little disappointing because I could have just as easily bought it for Sound Tank CS. Oh well. The world has real problems and this really isn't one of them. Thanks again.

Hi Simeon! In new to your channel. Great content btw. I see that you are well familiar with ik multimedia products. Can I ask you a fairly large series of questions that I have tried to get resolved with support who have miserably failed to help me. I recently upgraded to total studio 3.5 max and had to transfer my files over to an external drive due to the size of the libraries. Since doing that everything has messed up on my end. I don’t know folder all the extra libraries go into. I’m at a loss after trying so hard to figure this out on my own, so I figured why not ask someone who has more experience with this company. Please and thank you. God Bless!
@PraiseTracks3 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the channel. The way that the SampleTank folder structure is set up can be very confusing. You really need to keep things together so in the case of moving to an external drive it is just a matter of finding and moving the IK content folder to the new location. After that there is a setting in SampleTank(Syntronik,etc. ) where you can add the content path and rescan to rebuild the database. Give that a try. I am out at the moment but will see if I can put something together that might be a little more helpful. You will get there. 🤓 All the best.
