I really appreciate this video! I’m about to buy a iKamper and the only sticky point for me was the mattress and the packing up space. It seems like this kills two birds with one stone. Huge help. Great video

I had the exact same experience with the iKamper mattress. I already had those same ExPed mattresses you showed. So, I use those. I put down an ultra thin, high density yoga pad for a vapor barrier which prevents condensation.

Nice video much appreciated I wonder if those mattresses would work in the sky camp mini. A little tip for you get yourself to a Home Depot or something and pick yourself up some adhesive carpet tiles. Stick them to the floor of your tent it works as a nice insulator and also really helps with condensation.

I can't comment on the fitment for the mini, but I've been lucky and haven't had any condensation issues thus far! I'll definitely keep that in mind though

I ditched my rooftop tent but ive been searching like crazy for a comfortable sleeping solution for our new trailer...i hate air beds, i tried the foam pads from freddies and they get wet and mold if not careful...I just ordered the QOMOTOP so excited to try it...im a side sleeper so fingers crossed!

I'm a side sleeper using the single Qomotop in a tent. Love it. I do struggle to deflate it but maybe I don't have the technique yet perfected. I currently have air in it stored against a wall & there is no leakage while stored or when I have camped with it. Super comfortable!!

4X, and I leave two sleeping bags and two pillows. Any standard size will fit with these mattresses

Hey man great video. I noticed that iKamper created their own inflatable mattress but its been out of stock for a while now. Can't wait any longer so I am going to go this route. What version of iKamper do you have? Skycamp 2.0? Will this work for a Skycamp Mini?

Thanks so much for the great video. I just wanted to clarify if keep the mattresses stored deflated inside the closed tent? Have you had any issues of them not inflating properly or not as well after storing deflated. I know some sleeping pads recommend to not store them deflated. But I suppose is you use them often enough, it shouldn't be an issue. I think I am going to give this a shot, thanks for the tip!

Yes they live in the tent and I haven't had any issues with them re-inflating!

I’m just discovering this channel. Just ordered the ikamper 2.0 on sale and the new version of the quomotop. I think it’s “generic” but pretty sure it’s the same thing. My question is on the Mr heater buddy. Do you sleep with it on all night? What do you keep it on/in? I used it sleeping in my jeep but just for a few minutes. Anyhow thanks for all the awesome content.

Hey thanks for watching! I generally shut it off right before I sleep, but have definitely fallen asleep with it on and slept all night with it. I usually set it on a baking tray if inflating the iKamper extension-side mattress, but if I'm solo I'll sleep facing front to back, leave the smaller mattress deflated, and set the heater directly on the extension panel. Hope this helps!

Buy a Toyota highlander all wheel drive hybrid upgrade tires and suspension now you have air conditioning and heat that you run off the battery all night and day for a dollar of fuel seats fold down for perfect bed

@@yassel22 roof rack and if you need more stuff get a trailer receiver rack ,you could even tow a small trailer,but towing a trailer off road is not very fun,not alot of gear needed for me for camping,you can even power an electric cooler off the hybrid battery,iceco makes a good cooler 5 year warranty,having AC AND heat and not sleeping on the ground makes camping more enjoyable when you're well rested

Nice job on the video. I’m in the market now for RTT. The iKampers made my short list, but I won’t buy one after seeing more than a dozen videos about the mattress not working for side sleepers and a couple more discussing condensation under the mattress. I’m a customer that is willing to pay for a premium tent. But I’m not spending 4K and then modifying the tent. Plus, I want a hard shell tent for the express purpose of getting it set up in a minute. I want nothing to do with blowing up an air mattress like I do now for my ground tents. Suggestions for iKamper, offer a version with a thicker mattress. Offer a floor condensation solution that is better than “keep all the windows open “. Offer a shell that is big enough that one can easily keep a couple blankets and sleeping bags in the tent when it’s closed. Everything I see is that the shell fits so snuggly, you can’t do that. If they made those improvements/options, they’d have a customer here. FYI, this isn’t a rant against the company. I’d genuinely like to buy from them.

Yup totally get the frustration! I haven't had any issues with condensation thankfully, but I think it would be great if they'd just brand their own self inflating mattresses and include it as a possible upgrade.

@@Justjeepingadventures sure they do if they're not properly ventilated. I've had my iKamper for a year now using a Mr Buddy heater and still haven't had any condensation issues.

I just got a roofnest condor and the mattress is terrible. On their website they suggest that "if you are the princess in the pea type..." you might need an upgrade. It's more like IF YOU HAVE BONES! Now I'm looking at having to spend $400 for a mattress.

Sure. I use a fist size rechargeable pump. Inexpensive. Quick.
