Same! After playing around with Caeda and some teams, been liking omnitanking again. Was just thinking about foddering my Caeda to my fallen Ike in some preparation for his refine, but now i wont! :P

When I first saw the name of the B skill was "Laguz Friend", I was really hoping it would have something that allowed for beast transformation when next to the unit. While the skill we actually got is really good, I'm still disappointed that my wish didn't come true.

me too :/ got excited and as i kept reading i was like “ok where is the part where you can help beasts transform… oh nvm” i didn’t play engage so i forget what laguz friend in engage does but i mean it still would’ve been nice to add that effect in. oh well

I heard the Japanese name of the B skill is "immovable", wonder why they changed that. But i think the strange translation is also in Engage itself

Okay, so Ike can maybe tank V!Lyon. MAYBE. Cool. What about literally everyone else? How do they touch him? Between his several stacks of unpierceable DR and his attack debuffs, what DOES the average unit do against Ike? With DC, NCD and forced desperation too, he even always gets to take combat on his most favourable terms and will likely full heal on retaliation. DR was a massive problem before some form of DR Piercing came along to allow people to deal with it, but if the 'new' DR Piercing is gonna be 'Burn' damage, that leaves literally every unit prior to L!Camilla in the dirt regarding dealing with these monster tanks. I... Really don't think leaning into making pre combat a necessity was the play here.

Having missed out on Altina, I'm excited about E! Ike. Not that W! Byleth hasn't been earning his keep, as he can tank Lyon and Sanaki without much issue, but I'm gonna pull for him anyway for the Engage, and I see some use cases in which I'd bring him over Byleth in AR. I'm looking forward to your tanking guide. I feel the community as a whole would benefit greatly from someone telling them "you can't just smite your tank across the map and think it'll be ok anymore", and I can't think of anyone better than you to convey the nuances of that.

Laguz Friend 4 is worded in a way where the special only needs to be 3 or higher cooldown if it's an offensive one, defensive specials should be able to work with it even if they're 1/2 CD It sounds odd, but it makes sense since a 3CD defensive special wouldn't get precharged by it, which would make the interaction worthless. Meanwhile offensive specials are fine being left at 1CD since you get hit, charge up the special, and kill in retaliation. Not to mention Ike's emblem effect obviously means you don't care if it's precharged, so long as the foe's is.

Well explained! I will be eager for that Omnitank guide. Only one I like using is Fallen Byleth and Legendary Corrin. Maybe with the engage skill of Ike she is viable again but we will see.

I think Legendary Ike finally found a skill in Laguz Friend 4 that he can use. He could never run Spd based DR but his Def stat is pretty decent at max investment. Plus the -2 charge in combat goes nicely with Time's Pulse 4 if you picked him up in HoF for looping Radiant Aether II.

Welcome! The first column is the odds that you’ll get a specific focus in 40 pulls (or spark if you have FEH Pass) The second column is the average orbs to get a single copy. The third column is the average orbs to get a +10.

I wonder how many of Ike's stuff will be inheritable because I seriously need a way to make my units not to be a big weaklings when it comes to actually using them lol because it looks like everytime I dare to use my units I never really deal enough damage that much with them the only really successful unit is duo Lyon lol even with only 1 of him I can be sure that I'll win in my own hands but idk about AR-D I don't really care about it anymore because it's pointless I only do Arena for tickets lol

Also, Joel, I think you are sleeping on how meta-relevant Tina is. She's a unit that forces you to a) think through what she will do very carefully or b) lose.

Not the ike we were waiting for. The ike we were fearing. This unit is utterly fun-stopping. I can't use any of the meme teams that I've been able to use for years. No, have to go full meta to even deal a single point of damage. Winning? That's still out of the question since I refuse to use imbalanced units because ordinarily they make the game as boring as "tap to win".

Wow. Another broken hero, Marth was alreadh troublesome to deal with . Anyway , these days all i know is its not worth it to summon at alll, just bcuz even units that are getting refines still cant compete with the " new monthly releases". Also since i dont have feh pass, i never get anything from the legendary/mythic banners. 🙄 cant wait to see how they skill creep thiss unit next month
