Now I know why Tina left Ike. She wanted the spotlight all to herself. She didn't want to share the stage with other women. This music is certainly better than what Tina did solo

WHAT!! Well it's clear why she left Ike, but the other part of what you're saying is sheer nonsense! "This music is certainly better then what Tina did solo." WHAT!!! You must be joking! Some artists evolve and this even applied to Jimi Hendrix. No this music is certainly NOT better than what she did solo. The two can't be compared. I'm sure she left Ike because he had been beating the crap out of her for years. You don't stay in a relationship or marriage because of wealth and fame. I'm sure he would have eventually killed her. Tina had to change her image and adapt to a new sound to revitalize her career in the 80's. Despite the musical change, she still kicked butt and rocked out on stage; in concert, ticket sales and music sales for a solo career that lasted nearly 30 years. She had plenty of people including women working with her on stage throughout her solo career. Do some research before making asinine comments dude.

@@robertspiegel9215 dude, you have no idea what you're talking about. Tina wasn't any angel, she was doing drugs, participating in the orgies and was just as violent as Ike. Before Tina's retooling in the 1980s she was ghetto hooch. Furthermore, Ike and Tina were never popular to begin with. Their albums didn't sell and they had to tour constantly to make their money. When Tina broke out in the 80s most people had no idea who she was. The image of the bruised and battered victim who overcame adversity was a complete fabrication. Any time Tina needed to sell records she started crying abuse. Tina always contradicted herself as well. In one breath she's telling everyone that Ike beat her. In another breath she would say it wasn't as bad as it sounds or whatnot. Was there abuse in that relationship? Yes, but it was both of them. Tina left her kids with Ike too. Although Ike was a vile drug addicted monster, Tina was ok with him raising her teenage son. Tina Turner was a fraud
