I'm looking at this TV stand, but my Amp is a little over 6 inches (6.14 inches, to be exact. Is your measurement (height) of the slots exact? Still, thinking about it - AV amps tend to run hot, and need good ventilation, right? Even if it "just" fits, not ideal.......

This is a good, high-quality entertainment center. If I had to change one thing it'd be getting rid of the drawers. Hello Chuck, thanks for this video. However a question I have is - Ikea website says this Brimens stand can take up to 66lb of weight. But a 82" TV must be at least 75-80lb. Is it something you noticed or Ikea keeps enough buffer on top of their advertised weight rating so that it has not been problem?
@AllThingsCool2 жыл бұрын
yea my TV is still on top of this stand lol holding it just fine
@viperhd702 жыл бұрын
Funny, I was wondering the exact same thing yesterday, considering it for my 55" OLED, which does weigh less than 60lbs. I found Ikea's 66lbs quite low for a TV cabinet of this size. It does show at the top plate not being very thick. That being said, a lot also depends on where the weight is. In this video, the feet of the TV are quite wide apart, so the weight is distributed pretty well over the vertical planks.

it list a max load of 66lbs. I'd assume a 82" TV is going to be 90lb+ I'm typically paranoid about that sort of thing even though I'm sure the safety factor is more than 66lb.

Yea I haven't had a problem yet

That TV he has is around 105lbs.. I have an LGC965 which weighs in at around 77lbs.. if it can hold 105, it should be good for 77 :-)

It really bothers me that the TV is not centered on the stand, WHY?!!?!
@AllThingsCool4 жыл бұрын
Lol I know people like you. But the reason is as u can see on the right side of room I have a chair and desk it blocks that corner of tv a bit if the tv was moved more to the right

Any vid on how you did the LED for the ground effect, any kit you recommend?
@AllThingsCool4 жыл бұрын
No video for that sorry but I just used a plug in strip from amazon that has a remote to change colors and to turn it on and off. There pretty cheap on amazon and super easy to setup. Some plug into the usb on back of tv for power. On my other tvs I have that kind and the leds turn on and off with the power of the tv
