The IKEA FRIHETEN is a sofa lounger that has a built in ottoman, storage under the lounge seat and can be used as a guest bed.
Most of the components of the IKEA FRIHETEN come assembled out of the box so the full assembly of the sofa is fairly straight forward. This video demonstrates the overall process.

Hey there it's Feb 27, 2022. I just got mine and your video was the most simple and easy guide go building this. I must say thank you so much for this video. It made it so much easier for me and it took me about an hr (I def took my time lol) . But in the end I was rewarded with a wonderful sofa. Only thing I would tell people is the screws for the wheels where very hard for me and took most of my time in the end. Thank you again !!!

I bought this a year ago. I found that I need to put a foam mattress topper on it for sleeping because it’s hard. The storage underneath is amazing, you can get so much under it.

@@stalliondan1 I don’t know that it’s for an office. This is more of a starter couch for a first apt not very comfortable at all, but fit the purpose for my sons needs.

To all the people complaining, BRO you can just get a foam topper (full size) from Ross for like $40 and fit it under the chaise when you're not using it. Plus a cheap comforter to put ontop of the foam for like $25 at Target. And for stains / cleaning you can simply get a throw towel/cover which what you should be doing with any couch in the first place. This ain't rocket science!

I have this couch. I rent a master bedroom and in the daytime I can turn it into a couch and have friends over and hang out and at night my couch is a big comfy bed. No complains.

Thank you very much for the video. I assembled it myself, and it took me about 2 1/2 hours. However, I was struggling to screw in the last two parts, the casters and the L hooks. The screw would not screw in all the way. Perhaps, because I am a woman and didn't have the strength to twist the screwdriver to tighten them.

We just bought ours (Royal Blue) 2 weeks ago from Ikea in Atlanta for the guest room. MOTHER IN LAW gives it a thumbs up after 7 days of sleeping and sitting. Great buy.

@NoAH'ArK for long-term sleeping of course it's not as comfortable as a mattress but it gets the job done. 4 Less Than excessive usage ,it holds up very well no discoloration of any sorts on materials as of yet. We did Scotchgard it for extra safety and protection still looks like brand new.

Great classic sofa by ikea but personally I prefer the soderhamn because you can vacuum underneath however saying that this sofa in the video is on wheels which is a plus and it as Storage space which is a massive plus plus but I do prefer the design of the soderhamn... I would be torn between the two if I had to pick one.. hard choice

This is a fucking nightmare!! I bought mine in the Curacao store! And tfor just 50 bucks they made the delivery to my apt which is on a third floor building! And it comes complete assembled just ready to use it!! No scrub!! No work no nothing! Just ready to enjoy it! And the pillows are articulate with 3 positions for you good rest ! The material and the design are sooooo much better than this! And btw IKEA is not really cheap at all not expensive as fuck, but no cheap to make you work after you gave them your money. Sorry IKEA don't hate me but, I had to say this!! 😅
