Fab hack, but I'd have used a flush trim saw to even out the top and bottom, then used trim for the front where the two sides meet.

Sticky59 and removing the toe kick and adding a panel to the bottom. Definitely would’ve made it look more cohesive and not an upcycled piece.

How has it been in terms of wear and tare and also the drawer slides? Got the nightstand and the slides suck, so trying to imagine it as a dresser.

I haven't noticed a difference on the slides since converting it. They weren't great to begin with but seem about the same

In my experience, they won't 'guarantee' size cuts. I gave them cut intentionally slightly over-sized, then trim to size at home. YMMV, though.

The IKEA Rast was sold out at my store. I contacted IKEA and they said the Rast 3-drawer dresser has been discontinued. Doesnt look like anyone can purchase this type of dresser anymore. Do you know if there is a similar IKEA dresser that can be used in place of the Rast?

I just bought this 3 drawer Rast yesterday and a 6 drawer Tarva dresser. I’m planning on staining them and changing out the knobs.
