Very nice Hermione, I love that box and you were so clever to use that cane basket for the top part of the box window. I really love that hanging lamp and probably might have to get me the basket the next time I go to IKEA and also the light kit. The pillow made out of that new rug was also very nice, seems very thick and durable. Loved this video and thanks for sharing.

Does the basket light get hot from the bulb??

You should have tried to soak the basked in water overnight before cutting in it. This material softens in water and is easier to work with while wet, and then dries to the same as before. Just fyi :)

I really like the box idea as it's inside the box as rattan material is not the easiest to clean (living in Asia, so the 'comeback' to rattan is just normal for us) and easily gets ruined depending on clumsiness or kids or if the rattan material is over a curve (eventually it breaks a few years later including furniture).
