I agree with you on the Autofocus not being implemented well. In fact, when I try to run in absolute coordinates and home the laser to be able to use an alignment jig, it will fail to autofocus after homing, which then also makes the machine lose its X and Y positioning. I was told to run it in current position mode and not home the machine as a fix. As for power and precision, it's great, but not for the powered Z axis.

Loved the intro, looks like a beast. First impression it looks awesome ( reminds me of transformers movie, was waiting for it to turn into a car 😂) best looking diode. Looks and does a good job! All jokes aside, the lighthouse looks very nice 👌 Can the stepper motors get damaged when using it at max speed? It's really fast!!

Thanks a ton! I've been trying to make the product flyovers a bit more enticing. In answer to your question, no, you can run stepper at max speed all dal long without damaging them.

Steve. I loved your reviews. I have learned a lot from your videos. Thank you so very much. I have a question: are you sure that the machine reaches the 54000 mm/m? Because I have tested it using the same file and settings and run for 50000 mm/m, 40000 mm/m and 10000 mm/m and they all took almost the time for engraving. I have set the mode of operation to fast.

The total time depends on the size of the thing you are engraving, and here’s why: Every time the laser changes direction, the laser basically coasts to a stop and then accelerates in the opposite direction. This happens at both ends of a line and is essentially a time constant that is larger than the time to engrave the space in between. For small engravings, the time for changing direction vs engraving is significantly larger, so engraving at 54000mm/m wont have a huge impact on reducing the time.

Hi guys. I need to help to buy laser for my custom shop business. I got algolasar 40w but i haven’t got yet. I might cancel this order(kickstarter projects. Around with shipping cost $1170. ). Do you prefer diod lassr 40watt and upper power diod laser or 40-50 watt co2 laser espt i will make wood metal Stuff like that engraved. Cutting sometimes. What size your opinion. Atomstaxk , ikier k1 pro maxx algolaser 40watt longer laser or xtool s1.

The power really depends on what you’re doing. If you plan to cut a lot then go with 40W or more. If you are mostly engraving then go with a 20-30w. Any of the lasers you list here are decent. My personal favorite is the Xtool S1 because it is enclosed, but the IKier is great and the Longer lasers are excellent budget machines

Thanks Steve. I already got algolaser 40watt kickstarter deal but i did not like their kickstarter projects system. I can cancel this order that’s why i am looking for to buy new. laser. Mostly i will engraving but i need to cut something. For good engraving 20-30watt laser or 40 watt laser can engraving well. Can you tell me or prefer model ?

@@MusaEser2024 Your best bet for balance cutting and engraving would be a 20-30W laser, and all of the lasers you mention are available in that power range.

that doesnt look like 54000mm min haha.. u dont know about speed then lol...because they said max speed its 54000 u think if u set it go so fast? its max 10 000mm min maybe but not 54 000 lol :D

Well there’s acceleration/deceleration to consider too. On smaller objects, you’ll definitely not get to that speed, but you are cutting large shapes, you’ll get close.
