Dottore is not “some guy who never got a vision” he’s “some guy who never needed a vision”. He’s more powerful than gods. Inducing mass hallucinations is sure regular science stuff..? Last time we checked it was loom of fate stuff, idk how the players are so oblivious… I suspect Nibelung vs. Primordial One are “segments” of the same final villain fighting himself. Just like Abyss/Khaenri’ah are not another world, just like those flowers in Lumine’s hair, Traveler is simply from Khaenri’ah. “Nibelung” and “Abyss” are what happens when an omnipotent god uses denial as a coping mechanism. Dott is pretty sure connected to this mess as much as Traveler is. He will want to know “the truth” but he already can’t tolerate his own alters.

Given the Irminsul works so similar to the Erdtree, and how the burning of it shakes the world enough thatnthe Tarnished carves a path to fight the avatar of the Greater Will...what is Dottore ultimately trying to do? He doesn't seem like to be the "divine usurper" type.

Dottore wants to get rid of the Abyss Order and the Gods and make a world for humans by humans. That's also the overall goal of the Fatui. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that the Dottore will always be allied with the Fatui. It seems like he will betray them later.

I had thought of Dottore's Segments as versions of himself that he used to get different perspectives on the same experiment. One's mind at 15 y/o is not the same as One's mind at 30 or 50. There are a lot of benefits to this, a scholar in the same vein as him would value such perspectives, not to mention that Segments can make you theoretically immortal. If you die, another Segment will replace you and follow your legacy. If Dottore also found a way to connect the consciousnesses of all his Segments, effectively turning "himself" into "themselves", and making "themselves" immortal in the process, then there's less reason to think further. It seemed fitting for someone like him, so I left my theories at that. But I never thought of those Segments being actual witnesses for changes in the memory of the world... That changes everything about his character.

So far? no. The potential and what he will be in the future? 100%. So far he's just a mad man and all our theories arent solid but make for great stories regarding him (for example his hair color and his similarity to how oceanids work with him also being a single person split into many rather than the usual other way around, his self hate he seems to hold, etc etc). He's one of my fav characters just due to what we know of him, his pure presence on screen with his confidence, and his future in the story brimming with potential.

Personally, I believe that him splitting himself into segments was not physical, and that all his bodies are like mechanical homes for his minds The cyclops with the eye is probably because of his love/obsession with ruin guards There’s references to him comparing the human body to a complicated machine. And during his time in the academy he wanted to reverse engineer and study a ruin guard. he seems to have a big big interest in mechanically upgrading humans… so it wouldn’t surprise me if he was mostly mechanical

@danialyousaf6456 Furina wouldn't have needed to exist and Focalors wouldn't have had to die or destroy the throne. The prophecy said the Hydro Archon would be alone, not dead. But! Sovereigns don't answer to Celestia, and Neuvillette said he could have completely avoided the prophecy coming to pass if he had his authority. All Focalors would've had to do was just pass it back. The way it's all presented is that Focalors had to die and throne destroyed to restore Neuvillette and save Fontaine. Finding out the HP are currently sleeping already revealed deceiving Celestia wasn't necessary.

Most likely Venti just restored some power to Dvalin, as we know Venti is the anemo archon even without the gnosis as he still fills the seat (and at the time he DID have the gnosis), we also know that music, sound and wind all have to do with death and time and to some degree history (history is more of a geo thing but ballads and hymns can pass on history as well). I believe that the power of anemo from the gnosis was ALL given to Dvalin, Venti was almost certainly aware of Signora's plot and 100% let her win as she's not even god level nvm archon level (Even Havria would prove too much for Signora and she was known for being a weak god). This leads me to believe that anemo powers can somewhat restore memories, physical states, the soul (elemental energy in the form of memories), and can restore the physical state of the Anemo dragon (dragons are elemental beings so getting more pure elemental energy is good for them as is the case with Apep absorbing their lil buddies). TLDR: Dvalin is much stronger than he was when we fought him as he's no longer corrupted and he's got the full power of the gnosis, Venti likely gave the gnosis away since it's real value is the ability to hold authority and its relation to the 3rd descender hence why he didnt care about giving a nearly empty gnosis to the Tsaritsa as a "gift".

Given that the name of Natlan's chapter is "Ode of Resurrection" we can say that dottore 'creating a god' is actually just him gathering the remains of the 3rd descender (the gnoses) and resurrecting him. It does seem like the only way to combat the heavenly principles is using a force from outside of teyvat.

Hey love this great video. I am so happy that you talk about Il Dottore he is so dangerously insane. I have an abandoned theory I wanted to post revolving around Dottore bringing the next cataclysm and I think that I can add some things to the video. In my humble opninon there are are two more key parts indicating Zandik's plan: 1. The manufacturing of Delusions 2. The experiments on the children and specifically Collei The first one was kind of mentioned in the video when talking about the little witch book and demon kings. The essence of Delusions is "demon god residue" which is also called the "remains of dead gods", specifically those before The Seven. In Hu Tao's story quest you already mentioned in a different theory about the shade of death I believe, Hu Tao makes a very mysterious but important statement at the end. She talks about how death ravaged the land during the Archon War and how the founders of the funeral parlor managed to drive death away. Next she says some time after the war some "lunatics" were using these remains and this peaked nearly in the extinction of all live (I believe this was the cataclysm). I know english translation is unreliable most of the time but I think I can prove this to be very exact If you are interested but I don't want to make this comment even longer. EDIT: Also Adeptus accumilating Karma by cleansing evil spirits When it comes to Collei unfortunately I did not have the time to go down the rabbit hole but whereas the point above is pretty solid inside of the game, this is purely based on the manga. While I am at it, Zandik, Collei and his experiment with the Delusions are key characters/plot point in the manga. I don't know whether this supports the theory or rather makes it shady. Either way I think this should be added since you are on the right path and this will be proven in the future story at least to my believes. Keep up the great work, making sure to follow your videos closely in the near future as much as I can.

Someone said Traveler will be Dottore’s creation in the end, but I think the traveler is more likely to ascend “naturally” rather than forcefully by using the gnoses. So far Dottore hasnt spoken about traveler or kept track of their movements, so I feel it’s unlikely unless he has no other choice but to use them once Snezhnaya comes (i.e. no other descenders/traveler has pyro gnosis). I think this rather connects to project stuzha and how Childe’s namesake is connected to the legend of Ajax and the ritual to become a descender in the narzissenkreuz questline. Stuzha means bitter cold, which also could refer to fimbulwinter (fimbulvetr) which is the prelude to the events of the ragnarok in Norse mythology. Considering Dainsleif said “an icy storm is starting to blow towards the other nations. Brace yourselves. Teyvat is about to get cold” in Childe’s miscellany, it could be referring to him literally causing the world to freeze over once again like hyperborea. My theory is that Childe will be turned into a “god” and the fatui plan to use him to create a new world that will throw the order of Celestia into chaos. I really wanna know your thoughts on this and if you have any Tartaglia theories in the future!

I also want to point out that Childe is the one character so far who doesn’t have a vision story and is not a higher power (sovereign archon sinners). Arle has a vision story, which means it’s not because he is a harbinger. And considering his vision wasn’t working in fontaine, there is something about Childe having a vision that doesn’t make sense. I’m not sure if this connects to any connection of being a descender, but it is very worth noting when generally taking about visions. His vision seems to stop working in the presence of something in fontaine. This could be the narwhal or the primordial sea or maybe something else, but its really just so interesting

Mmh- I have some questions about the segments remembering the past as it occurred- because what dottore did was to preserve his segments perception- but I doubt time did not change for them, either… meaning that they also went on to be their own person - in fact, when “deleting” his segments, they speak to him… meaning that they’re talking in the present- so if the past changed for main dottore- it should have changed also for the segments- as they are also living in the present

I have a theory that dottore still has many segments even though nahida made him destroy the other segments. If we assume this is the omega build still that means this is not prime dottore, the original which would mean he couldn’t be destroyed most likely. I think omega build only got rid of the segments under him specifically or ones he has made. Meanwhile other segments prime has made are not effected as omega build isn’t above them or didn’t create them. This or I feel dottore knows how irmunsal can rewrite memories and makes ways to remember things that get altered, like how nahida made a story about scaramouche. Anytime he suspects the memories may be altered he can just refer to these ways he’s made to recall them. Though this thing hea made may just be the segments as you said he can consult segments before the altered timeline took place. I feel dottore is a man that would have back up ways though and I do think he remembers scaramouche and rukka and this will come up at some point.

This makes me remember in Naruto when Black Zetsu backstabbed Madara and summoned the true god Kaguya. Every plot in history specifically crafted just for that moment. Tsaritsa might have her own plan but Dottore will only let her so long it aligns with his plan until the time comes. By any means, it'll be truly a tragic fate for Tsaritsa to be betrayed by her only "family" left. It'll also bridge Snezhnaya into Khaenri'ah chapter perfectly.

the thing about eyes in time would make sense if each copy existed at a different point in time, but from the in game knowledge we get about the copies it seems they exist at the same point in time just at different ages. So, I'm not so sure about how the eyes in time theory holds. Also, if dottore wanted to destroy irminsul to provoke the heavenly principles, he would have welcomed nahida destroying the gnosis since provoking the heavenly principles was her bargaining power.

to be fair, nahida destroying the electro gnosis before he could take it and use all the gnoses to finish his plan would be a massive waste to dottore. it would be smarter to accept her conditions for the bargain (in this case, destroy his segments) because to him she'd "only be temporarily ahead" even without his segments in the picture, and he'd get the electro gnosis (plus he soon adjusted to negotiating for the dendro gnosis pretty easily). if she wasn't bluffing and she did manage to destroy the gnosis AND summon the heavenly principles before he was finished - well, that would, understatement, massively suck for him.

I think that, when irminsul is burned as said in the video it may be during snezhnaya. Due to the agate or the gemstones (i forgot the name) normally hinting to the quests, i.e. mondstadts quest, we as the traveler will burn it I mean ther pyro agate does say "burn the old world for me" or something similar.

This could explain why Dottore calls the clone we see burning Irminsul the one in the “prime of his life” right ?? It’s the “version” of him that completes the final task he has whether it be for the fatui or something personal …like the version of him we see is the present one which hasn’t technically completed that task yet but using your theory he would essentially know what he has to do at during pivotal moments bc he’s seen a version of him who has already completed the final task (ie : burning irminsul)

I loved this theory, it's very interesting. And after watching Ashikai's video explaining how Loom of Fate works, I also wonder if Dottore is a complete "lite" version of a Loom of Fate. That is, his mind is the tether, all of his segments with their believes are the energy for the Loom's operation and the core is his hive mind or a literal processor somewhere in his labs. I mean, it's just speculation on my part, but it will also explain why he is potentially not influenced by the Irminsul. He has detached himself from it already. Besides, in Wanderer's lines about Dottore he said that it's a pity that Dottore was forced to erase SO MANY of his segments, which sound as if there are far more copies than those that were killed in exchange for the gnosis.

@@AndrewsMobs I believe that, yes, machines are affected by the Irminsul but if Dottore is a separate loom of fate, then he must have an independent memory similar to how Traveller remembers Rukkhadevata and Scaramouche. After all, when Scaramouche erased himself, he also forgot about his own past.

I think he’s a complete Loom of Fate. I wondered for long why he wrote in that one note that capturing Aranara would allow him to influence dreams AND reality. He has mind control powers, how is dream control different, etc… THEN we got the Caribert second quest and found out that a complete Loom of Fate loses the ability to control dreams. His powers operate on the level of reality, that one “redacted message” in Sumeru City is another example of this.

About the conection between Irminsul and king Irmin probably doesn't exist. In the asian version Irminsul is just "world tree" (sekaijuu in jp, sorry I can't understand chinese), so it's funny that the traslation team ended up with a name that reference another character that didn't have that conection originaly

14:38 not sure if this has been mentioned in another vid, but in Chapter 7 Part 2 of the manga (3rd panel), there is what appears to be (to my untrained eye at least) a raven-shaped robotic device baring the fatui insignia that appears to be acting as some sort of surveillance device - it does also appear in a few other chapters which take place during and around the time when Dottore visits Mond, which gave me the impression that the devices belonged to Dottore, making them his equivalent of Odin’s two Ravens. (am not an expert on the lore tho so take this with a grain of salt - I may very well be misinterpreting this)

Great analysis, but I also wanted to add an additional note. Dottore's name, Zandik (زنديق), in Arabic, means a person who shows themselves to others as a believer, but in truth, is actually a disbeliever. In arab culture this word is almost exclusively used in a religious context, to refer to someone who shows themselves to others as a believer in god, but in secret, is not a believer.

in the game, there's one dialogue i wonder if anyone ever heard from dottore. it's during the sumeru archon quest where we see one of his many "himself" leave sumeru. during that quest, we can get real close to dottore. so, i wonder. can nahida read dottore's mind, during that mission? i got my nahida long after i already did this mission, so i never got to try, but i don't even know if such a dialogue exist. if it does exist, i wonder what will this segment of dottore think. maybe what he's supposed to do next. maybe his destination. maybe encountering another harbinger to discuss about future plans. maybe some kind of secret which would be a surprise. if nahida was able to read scaramouche's mind during an event, she most probably also is able to read dottore's mind in this mission.

Irminsul is the true villain, just like Phobos in Remuria.For me, the ancestral Seelie was the 1st avatar of the tree, who sacrificed herself to create gnosis.Something went wrong, because just as Sybilla wanted to make everyone's wishes come true, Seelie, by sacrificing herself, ended up doing the same, making everyone's wishes come true (good and bad).Irminsul is linked to desires. The ancestral Seelie attached to the tree could be a candidate for being a shadow of Phanes (of life), who, like Sybilla, helped Remus build Remuria. But just like Sybilla, the Seelie knew that Irminsul being the fortune would consign Pahnes/Remus' government to destruction and warned him. It makes no sense for demon king and archon (demon god) to be the same thing - there simply haven't been enough past archons for a handful of witches to have been killing them off for power, AND if that was the case we would definitely have heard about it. That said, it DOES seem likely that demon king refers to godly elemental beings that lack a gnosis/dragon/divine authority (such as any of those that fought in the archon war and lost), whereas demon god refers to those who do have a gnosis/dragon/divine authority. Also I don't think that the heart of a demon king is especially relevant; the gnosis being the heart of god seems more likely to refer to the third descender's heart than the heart of the demon god that holds it, even if the electro gnosis was used as a heart for shouki no kami.

I dont think that the Winter Nights Lazzo's scene of the future in which Dottore watches a tree burn is him burning Irminsul. First of all Irminsul is not really a tree, it is the very system of interconnected leylines across the planet. We cant conclude yet if this connection is centralized or decentralize, all we know that the leylines are interconnected. The tree that we saw with the traveller's eye is just a representation of Irminsul in his realm of conciousness. Meaning, to burn Irminsul is to burn every leyline across the planet which is very unlikely. Another thing is that Irminsul is not just a repository of the planet's memories. In fact it is a system that absorbs information and govern the flow of information in the planet. All im saying is that Irminsul cannot be burn or destroyed, the scene is simply showing Dottore burning Irminsul in his realm of conciousness. But if it does not literally destroy Irminsul, what does it mean then? Burning Irminsul generally mean destroying every information that the planet has, meaning Teyvat and all of its current inhabitants being reborn into a new world, and Irminsul starting anew.
