Fantastic pianist, why have I never heard from her? Absolute worldclass playing!!! Good old school, love it.

Spectacular playing of criminally underrated and neglected etudes by a nearly forgotten composer whose contemporaries likened to Chopin in his understanding and mastery of the piano’s capabilities. Ms. Vered is a genius, fine artist, and a musical treasure.

It seems easy, what a technique !!!! I didn't know this pianist, but I was fascinated by the dynamics and expressiveness. In fact, the ancient pianists were absolutely incredible and their perfection is undeniable. Thank you Ilana for this wonderful gift.

It's a pretty good resource. I especially like some of the excellent artists who put their own performances up, recording repertoire I can't even find on records. Many download sites exist for out of copyright recordings of interest as well.

The only "right" execution of these pieces on KZbin...! (*) She brings all nuances out, where other interpretations sound either too mechanical, too mozart-y, too shallow, too superficial. She has the technique and the insight in the pieces. What a pearls! (*) Except for the most well-known pieces that were also interpreted by wonderful pianists like Horowitz, Frere and Pletnev, these also did a great job. I would argue that No. 11 best interpretation is that of Horowitz, he is the only one that fully brings out the left hand arpeggios in the middle part - at least to my ear, which Pletnev nor Vered completely manage to do in my opinion

Do you know of any "recent" decent recordings of the 15 etudes with HQ audio?
@bailahie42357 ай бұрын
@@GMR.44 I'm afraid not. A pianist that does not shy away from interpreting less often played virtuous works and could do a marvelous job would be Yeol Eum Son, this rendition of Alkan is one of the best I've heard: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2aVfn1sna-raas Perhaps we should ask her? ;-)

Unbelievable-Speechless- Moszkowski is extremely demanding in every aspect of playing. These etudes demand extreme virtuosity mentally, physically, and spiritually! Moreover, you mastered Moszkowski’s complete Opus 72 (15) artistically with precision!!! 😳 Bravo 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you so much I listen to moskowski just as much as a play his music

Love her playing in this, sadly only heard her live once, where she had a really off night in the Rachmaninov third, probably a record for the most dropped notes in a concerto.

it doesn't have to be that fast, Horowitz plays much slow, but with clarity. since they are etudes what's most important is you have to fully grasp which technique each etude is trying to employ and make the best out of that exercise.

NOSEhow2LIV why pick on his playing? I heard Vered in concert, it was incredibly sloppy, yet I enjoy this playing, despite the flaws. Who knows why some artists are uneven? Personal reasons most often.
