Just to add to Weylie’s comment on weed: Although weed does not have addictive properties, people do become dependent on it. Some people can’t eat or sleep without smoking. It does have negative effects for those who smoke before their brain is fully developed. For some people people (me) it’s what made my anxiety worse, which is why I had to stop. It was fun for a while like I would smoke to “ease my anxiety” until I realized my anxiety would be worse when smoking. Just really be careful where you purchase it too.
@overJoey3 жыл бұрын
A good friend of mine went through severe depression and was suicidal this year when he tried to quit weed after almost a decade of dependency. He was never addicted to weed but was addicted to the relaxed feeling and familiarity it brought him, and he couldn’t get through a day without smoking it, and was frequently stressed and anxious if he wasn’t high. It’s taken him almost six months to finally get clean, but it’s been the hardest six months he’s ever been through and he almost felt like he had no future. For anyone who reads this, please consider doing thorough research on the long term effects of weed 🙏🏻💕
@Chachixo3 жыл бұрын
@@overJoey yes! I had a friend that did dabs a lot and he had to wean himself off of weed over a several months. At the time I didn't even realize it could get that bad but he was doing several dabs every single day casually and to me, getting wild was finishing a joint by myself throughout the day lol.

I have been struggling with UTI's for the longest time. I have tried absolutely everything and was on antibiotics every month. Long story short what worked for me is I stopped shaving down there and my UTIs went away. So give it a try. It makes sense when you think about it. Just a friendly advice as I know just how annoying UTIs can get. 🥰

I don't know you personally but, it feels comforting to know you're like our friend. 😊 I loved this q&a! Def. feels just like the old times. Thank you for always being you, Weylie! 💖 I'm glad you're doing a lot better mentally and physically. And I agree! We should always strive for more knowledge. If one solution doesn't work, try another. I absolutely believe in Chinese medicine. Its super effective and healing from the inside out, mentally physically and emotionally. You know exactly what you're putting in your body too.
@KristaVaj253 жыл бұрын
Taking antibiotics over and over to tread or retreat the same type of infection can lead to MRSA. Finding ways to prevent that same infection from reoccurring is the true treatment. Keep doing what you’re doing to prevent ur UTI from reoccurring. Sometimes your body does need change from what you were doing.
@superkavman3 жыл бұрын
Agreed and to add on (not trying to @ anyone) but you should have gone to your GP or WIC first instead of ER. Your GP can do urine cultures as well, so you dont need to “waste resources” at the ER for something that can be done at your PMP.
@raenewnham74903 жыл бұрын
Using antibiotics doesn't cause MRSA. MRSA is around because people were misusing antibiotics and not finishing their courses. That's why it's important to only use antibiotics when necessary and to take them as directed by a doctor.
@007turtlesir3 жыл бұрын
Good points. Using antibiotics when not necessary mostly leads to antibiotic resistance and that will just mean that next time you have an infection, you require a bigger gun antibiotics, and yes MRSA is one of the bacteria that resist some more basic antibiotics, but certainly that's not the only one.

I’m in uni right now, and I feel you on missing out on some things in your 20s. Personally, I feel like I’m missing out on the romantic aspect of my youth. I don’t date or anything like that, and I see my friends in committed relationships. It sucks sometimes but I think the green is greener on the other side.
@emalinel3 жыл бұрын
Hey Nadya, I totally understand. Society has a way of saying being in romantic relationships during our 20s is normalized and almost expected for us. For now, I say just don't force it. Sure if you're interested in getting into a romantic relationship actively find ways to pursue it, but if you're not, rushing often leads to short term relationships and future heartbreak. Take time to develop yourself and be confident with yourself, your friends and a possible partner (if you want one) in the future :)

I didn't really date at all until after I graduated from college. It'll always be there and you're not the only one not doing it. If anything, I feel like I just missed out on a bunch of regrets and irritation. I'm in my late 20s and have now had a serious relationship and *that* was beneficial. All the other hookups and close calls really weren't.

SAME!!! I didn’t get my first bf till mid 20’s and sometimes wish I was more adventurous in college? at the same time i’m used to being alone and not codependent on others 🤷♀️ i’ve seen others forgo their own dreams/choices bc of their SO’s. now that i have a bf though, my friend mentions how she wants to be with someone ASAP...for sure the grass is greener on the other side is true. being single is fun tho 🤪 lol i wish people wouldn’t romanticize relationships just to not be alone... an SO should be an addition to your life not a necessity

You bring such a valid point regarding western vs eastern medicine. I study in occupational therapy and I’m glad we talk about those differences in my program at my university, but I know it’s not always the case and when I talk to people I am often confronted with this western type of view while knowing that there are many more ways to deal with illnesses in general ! Weylie, not sure if you are already aware of this condition, but based on what you're saying it seems like you may have interstitial cystitis (IC). I had two uti's this year that I got checked out, but all the tests came back normal. Then I went to a specialist and he told me it's probably IC. It basically feels like a uti but without an actual infection. It's a chronic condition that is controlled by diet, and since you said you have not relapsed since changing your diet, I feel that it could be IC. Love this video btw, so relatable in many ways as someone in a long term relationship and weed consumer. ❤️

Coming from an actual medical background I will tell you that recreational drugs do not help with mental health. Yes there may be short term relief for some but for others it can have the complete opposite affect. Even for the people who find that this type of self medicating helps them in the moment, there can still be long term consequences. She’s right, there are different strains of weed and each strain can affect people differently. But I highly recommend not risking your health just to find the right strain of marijuana.

Short term: It can trigger anxiety attacks. Long term: worsen symptoms over time or you could develop a psychological dependence on it. It’s not worth the risk.

This was very fun actually :p I loved this, Weylie. Please do more of this. I believe we are the same age. I'm 27 as of this month, and since I never had that college experience and what not, I still struggle to make friends and develop true connections with people. It likely stems from my anxiety, insecurities, and the fear that I'll get hurt by friends again. So I tend to keep a super small circle. One of my biggest wish is to be able to have great relationships with family and friendships with new people that will become like...my peeps. I admire how close you and your friends are. I just don't know how to get that for myself. Anyone can respond to this. Open convo.
