I beleive that at first you have to dive very deep into trading. Learn all you can and be obsessed with the markets. Then once you have done that for about 2 years or so, you start to unlearn the bad and focus on the good. You must be addicted to learning at first. Then you can work on physcology and go from there.

Well said! I don't agree on 100%, but it really depends on the person. I believe that if a trader starts with the right foundation, knowledge, mentor and strategy - it will take you even less than 2 years to start seeing profits, because you'll avoid all the crap that's out there. I spent 3 years learning crappy things, only to end up being extremely confused, with lots of losses, which then left scars and introduced lots of fear. I wish that I had someone great to guide me from the beginning. Unlearning the bad and focusing on the good - that's definitely the path! But a lot of traders don't know what's good and bad... The "addition to learning", that's also a big trap. How much can you learn? How much is useful? So yes - what you say definitely makes sense, but is it the right journey for most traders - I don't think so... However, as humans, even if you are given the best thing, you'll start want to explore all those shiny objects, only to learn your lesson at the end...

Signals don't work. I teach traders my understanding of the market, approach, strategies and absolutely everything. Then, I guide them on their learning curve with coaching, analysis and I even do what you call signals (calling trades when I take them). But don't just rely on signals.
