This shows a train ride on a German train and there are spies aboard and then we come across some Americans when the train stops and we have a shoot out. Almost too real. Then on to the rail yards where we have a shoot out with the Americans and Germans.

Germans were known for their robot like marching.. My dad used to run outside with all the other kids when german troops came marching through Rotterdam, their boots creating a sinister cadence. People, although angry at the occupier, would awe this precision marching.....You guys need some practise!!!

To be honest, I'd say this event would be better off with hired actors than sh*tty re-enactors... These re-enactors are overweight, they have the wrong outfit and equipment (I guess they all have different personal favorite outfits, but they don't fit together as a whole), their German is so bad it's true cringe for me (just speak English, or English with a German accent), and most of them have just the worst skills when it comes to living into the role...

Reenactors from all communities are like this. Not enough young fit people in the groups so there are fat, old guys running around in uniforms. Half of my Civil War company is 60+ years old and quite a few are over weight, though none necessarily obese. Saw a guy at fort Macon who was a literal land whale, must have been 400+ pounds. Not very accurate and quite farby.

Can't stand these farb fests. They had a "Civil War Weekend" one time where Confederates were being transported on a 1950's flatcar, hauled by a diesel electric locomotive, under a 600 volt cantenary wire. Gives a whole new meaning to the term, "hysterical reenactment."
@Thdkduushne
@Thdkduushne 10 жыл бұрын
Ohhh gosh the German soldier shouting "Wer is your Papier!?", that would mean "Who is your paper"... The correct term is "Wo sind dein Papiere!?" German/English language mixing is always so silly in Reenactments, just go with one or the other and throw in the accent.

I have one problem with this video, Since when does a private command soldiers of higher rank than he is? Waffen SS and the Whermact did not get along well, and seeing that Waffen SS Corporal Getting bossed around by some private, or the Waffen SS Major being bossed by an Army soldier is just false on all accounts.

things reenactors should stop doing (this includes us reenactors too) 1. stop wearing erbsenmuster 44 (DOT 44s) 2. if you are doing a german impression learn basic german 3. stop being powerfreaks (*cough* US G.I.'S *cough* ) 4 . stop wearing so many medals 5. stop for all things holy do not wear a party pin 6.if you are planning to reenact and you are chubby, lose some weight, during ww2, there was limited rations for everyone there fore everyone didnt get to eat as much 7. dont use ''capture weapons'' i know it was common during ww2 but buy a yugoslav k98k or something i could go on and on but i dont feel like it

Every reenactor group always has some guy with a bushy gray beard! It would be soooooooo tempting to trip one of these guys as they're walking down the aisle...some of these guys need to work on their "command presence." This must've been towards the end of the war when boys were being recruited.

It's bad enough we have an obesity problem... look, If you can't fit in the war-time size uniform, maybe it's a good idea to stay home and work on it. I won't even go into the unauthentic part of all this. This reminds me of "mini- KISS"band. The Little People band that is a KISS cover band. This is just like this but "Obese-WWII". Battle of The Bulge? Too easy. But you get the idea. I'm kind of joking but this is just sad in the end.
