What do think about this light, would it work in your setup?

I went for the 300C at launch and I’ve really enjoyed it alongside my three 200X lights. Really helps to bring things to life when needed.

Awesome, what intensity do you regularly use the 300c at?

I agree with most of what you say too, it echoes my experiences of Aputure’s products but I do disagree about it being more powerful than you’d need. I’ve used the 300C in my main 1.2m soft box and it’s only just powerful enough to give meaningful light from it. With its reflector, absolutely but with the soft box I could do with one of the Aputure 600W lights 😂

@@conveyorofrandomnessoh the 300C is mostly at 20% if used with reflector or 100% with a soft box. I prefer to shoot at higher apertures if I can so light is essential. My standard setup is 2x 200X 1x 300C and then 2x 150W square panel lights for some highlighting - everything at 100% but the 300C as I like that for accent colours

I’ve been researching continuous lights a lot recently, specifically the Amaran 150c and 200x. This is the best review / breakdown of the 150c I’ve seen so far! Getting me hyped to add this LED to my kit 🎉

Did yours get really hot within 5-10 mins? I'm setting mine up and it's very hot. I did have it on 50%, I noticed it's less hot at 20%, is this normal?

It can be, particularly if you’re in a room that isn’t well ventilated (when using it at higher intensities), less so at lower intensities. But yes it is normal
