Just bought the 300c and it is a game changer. I’ve been using the 60x for a long time but the new yoke design and handles make life so much easier. Great review, as always!

oh niiiice, a wise choice Alpha!! I was loving the 300c at NAB this year. So powerful, the nice price, and you are right, much more user friendly. Thanks for checking out the vid and awesome comment! Hope your weekend is going well ✌️

best thing anyone can do if theyre getting into lighting is pick a brand and buy nothing but that brand. I stuck with aperture and sold my others. being able to control every single light from the app is priceless. it will make your life incredibly easy, especially if youre a solo fighter. Also for portable AC battery power, be careful to only buy "pure sine wave" units (inverters). Happy shooting yall and have a great weekend.

💯 Definitely agree with you Teddy. I love that sidus app and the whole system is super reliable. Couldn't be happier joining the Aputure family. Thanks for the tip on the Pure Sine Wave battery power👍 I saw Aputure released a big rollable battery pack the other day but its $3000 lol. guess I will be sticking to my wall socket. Thanks for awesome comment and checking out the vid, you rock ✌

Thanks for the review! Can you give more info about the CAT? You just plug the light directly? How long can you power the light that way if you use it on 100% power? Or in other words whats the capacity of the CAT?

Thanks! Another great review. Living up to the channel name with all these lights. Hope they soon start sending you them for free to review. Are all the power cables interchangeable between the Amaran models? Maybe you can swap it out for a longer one if you need to.

Hey there Martin! I think I have enough lights to start a small theatre or traveling road show now lol. It was tough to find any cons on the light, it's really a good value. Thats a good idea on the wire, just needs a DC 48V / 3.75A to power it up. Was pumped that it worked with my old CAT charger, that thing has been super handy, for the car and now the studio lol. Hope you are doing well over there and thanks for checking out the video, always look forward to your comments! Take care 🙌

love how your using the cat 1200...any other reccomendations or specifications on other batteries? Maybe a Jackery or a DeltaPack?

Thanks BlackHawkCourt! Love that little Costco CAT lol. Saw a lot of cool battery packs coming out during NAB this year, those ones you mentioned look good to. DJI is dropping an interesting portable battery also, seems to be an easy product to produce now 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching and the comment!

Thanks for the review. Just bought the light and I am considering to buy a second one. Great value for money. Btw: I like your studio light situation very much. Would you mind to disclose what setup you are using as key light etc.?

Thanks so much Roland! I use that 150c with the dome diffuser as my main fill, plus a p60x on the side for some extra light on my raccoon eyes. Behind me is a p60c for the overall splash of color on the wall. I am definitely an Amaran/Aputure guy over here these days, with everything linked to their Sidus app, makes setup while sitting in front of the camera very easy to control everything and get it dialed in. Good luck with your setup over there and thanks for the kind words on this vid! Take care

How much time can the CAT battery run the 150c for? I think it's a genius idea for saving hundreds of bucks on v mount batteries!

which stand do you recomend for the amaran 150c?
@TheFloodLightShow7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I don't have very good recommendations in that dept, sorry Larry. I am using an old mic stand currently, not the best setup but these amarans are super light and I can still have that heavy dome hanging off the front. I do have a couple of the Neewer C-stands and those rock, with a nice price also. Good luck finding the right fit and thanks for checking out the video✌️

Bro, I have aputure and GVM…. The gvm’s had to come down. Too much notice from the fans pick up on video. Big fan noise on amaran’s behave! Now to try to afford some more amarans 😅
@TheFloodLightShow Жыл бұрын
That’s a good tip, thanks for letting us know! I definitely don’t hear much sound coming from those Amarans when they are on. Good luck with your set up over there and thanks for checking out the vid ✌️
