The Marvelous One reigns as the Prince of Soul with a song that he personally lists as one of his favorites! The Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald as lead singer successfully covered this tune in the 1970's!

Wast his from Shivaree. The Doobie Brothers would later cover this song. I also think that The Andantes sang background on this track.

Hi no....it's from the Clay Cole Show...as far as I know only one episode exists out of the full series? and yes Andantes on background.

CLIP NOT PERFECT BUT I LIKE IT IN IT'S ORIGINAL FORM INCLUDING THE CLAPPING FROM AUDIENCE AND PRESENTER SPEAKING (CLAY COLE)

I was at the taping of the Clay Cole Show for this. Also on that show was Jay & the Americans,Gary Lewis and Anthony & the Imperials {all the video's you have} also on that show were Stevie Wonder and Mitch Ryder & Detroit Wheels. I know because I have Clay Cole's copy of the show script. I was at the taping of the show from March to November of 1966 and have Clay's copies of the script. I would also like to say I have a full copy of his December 9, 1967 show and parts of his last show December 16, 1967. Do you have, or know does this full show {September 17, 1966 still exist.
