Marvin Gaye. I love that song then. And I still love it. They will never ever be another late great Marvin Gaye. Who was the listen to this song like today in 2023. Gone too soon... But never forgotten rest in peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️❤.

Andrew Crawford I say the same thing Marvin in his younger singing days had so many songs that potential to be hits that were not really notice some how were not recognize such as this as one : Little Darling and also the 2 songs that he & Tammi Terrell sung a duet together title Love Woke Me Up This Morning& What You Gave which all 3 of these song are 3 of my favorite from songs from his earlier years Richard if you never heard of these songs Marvin & Tammi are singing together as duet / whenever you get a chance listen I think you might enjoy them 😄 Take * Care 🎶🎤🎶🎵 3-27 -19

I Truly appreciate and Love those good old oldies I was just a child when this song came out by the time I turned the teenager with my siblings our parents used to go out and we would play their records we were not allowed to touch the records but my mother always knew she can tell that's what Dad said just let them play it which was my sister myself and that's how I got started very talented tall sexy man and can sing his tail off don't get me wrong I love the music they had the day but nothing will ever ever take the place of music back then when they went on tours they had the bands with them today's all machineries it's okay but it does not touch the heart and soul like those Motown oldies going too soon but never forgotten rest in peace the late great Marvin Gaye

god. the andantes are soaring as usual. they were very underated.
@jackanthony9766 жыл бұрын
Ya, the Andantes are upstaging Marvin with their overly loud and intrusive voices. I'm surprised that Marvin didn't protest the upstaging antics of the Andantes...after all it is his record not a showcase for the Andantes.

@@jackanthony976 please...the Andantes added that needed spice...you tell the Motown engineers to turn down their vocal track....
@jackanthony9765 жыл бұрын
@@kevingoins9858 Then give the Andantes credit. The record should have been labeled "Marvin Gaye and the Andantes." Just like some of Marvin's earlier recordings were released under the name "Marvin Gaye and the Vandellas" when the Vandellas were doing background work.
@kevingoins98585 жыл бұрын
@@jackanthony976 Motown weren't gonna do that as you well know. It's a fifty-three year old record. Just enjoy it and if not there are many others. Cheers.

even Marvin couldn't be arsed to sing live sometimes
@jackjules75523 жыл бұрын
Marvin sang live on some shows like Hullabaloo where he sang "Sweeter Than Honey" live. Some shows simply did not have the equipment or an in-house band or orchestra that could support live singing. Also Marvin sang live on the Ed Sullivan show since Mr. Sullivan insisted on live singing and Mr. Sullivan provided a live orchestra.
