My foundation, aka the way I’ve been shooting since I was 7, is to turn my guide hand and use it to push. Needless to say, I can’t shoot to save my life. Never though about putting my guide hand on top to stop this. Good tip. It feels weird at the moment but, I just have to put the reps in.

Thank you so much! Ive been playing for a while now and I wondered why I could only hit lays. I created a bad habit of shooting in the middle of my body and now I know to ark my main hand instead. This really helped me hit more shots down and actually felt more natural when I shot so my wrist hurts less. Great video my boy ❤️💪💪

I'd like to have seen more instruction on how the lower body should come into play. You briefly went over the hips but how about the legs, the feet, and generating power from the lower body?
@solar_cpg88333 жыл бұрын
Knees should be bent at a 45 degree angle, feet should be squared or have one feet slightly in front of the other. When you jump try to land in the same spot you jumped from not jumping forward or backward unless you have to. The most important thing tho is to square your shoulders when you shoot and flick your wrist to generate a proper arc.

Thank you coach you just don't know how big of a help you did on my jumpshot release and became a good shooter because back then was only good at rotating my team and make good pass because I was a bad shooter now I got a confidence to shoot the ball because of this shooting release form because every game I manage to make 5-0 straight shoot on the game and the first week I was practice the release shot I cannot believe I manage to make 10-0 2nd day 5-0 and yeah I mix my confort release shot to your forming shot and I instantly became my best weapon on the game so thank you Keep it up 👆✌️ And yea.. I forgot to mention that my coach change me to a catch and shoot gaurd so I'm so thankful!

I'm 63 and just joined a National Granny Basketball League in our city. No basketball experience needed, which I have none. We have a completely different set of rules. We play with 6 instead of 5 and only play 1/3 of the court. So if I'm playing forward there are 2 of us and 2 guards from opposing team. We can't jump when making a shot so am trying to make the shots count. This video has gave me some idea of what I need to do. Thanks!
