As a nurse, I agree, but it just goes to show how little their “leaders” care about their people. Of course they blame us, because they’re not allowed to get outside information and they’re all told that we’re the bad guys. It makes sense that they would think that and the regular people there wouldn’t dream of questioning the leadership cause you get thrown into a detention camp and worked to near death/death (or killed).

I grew up in eastern europe at the end of communism. I had 18 years in this system. Tho was much softer, still similar. I just can't describe how depressive is to luve in a country has electronic barbed wire in every inch of the border, escaping nearly impossible. People had to spy on others, everything is bad quality, only communist party members sit in the parlaiment, the regime checks every step what you make, if you want something, you have to go and ask for permission, no travel to the western countries, only to "friendly" other communist countries... Disgusting.

People there aren't happy, but since this life is all they've ever known perhaps a portion of North Koreans accept their circumstances and make peace with an unpleasant situation. I don't know if statistics are the same but in the past, at least 75% of the population in North Korea do not have enough food. They work very hard, with little to enjoy. There's no way of knowing how they all truly feel because they have no freedom to express how they feel with their life or living conditions. I can't imagine the inner suffering and sadness within them. They deserve to live a happy life with personal freedom. Imagine all the brilliant minds being suppressed there, we may never know.
