I understood the normal "Moroccan Darija" better than Marrakechi darija. Wow this was an entirely new language for me. (Lebanese, Levant Arabic native speaker here)

As an Algerian, i understood most of it !! it sounds unique tho but there are too many hard words that we don't use in Algeria.

Because this is a different dialect then we would speak in Casablanca or something. Casablanca is very similar

It is Arabic i can understand it because i slowed the video down. It is unique they use ancient Arabic words that we don't use anymore in the east so because of this many Eastern Arabs find it difficult. I'm from Iraq i understood him because i'm used to moroccan dialects because of youtube😃💙

Just to say to some people who said darija is not a dialect of Arabic. Darija is pure arabic dialect derived from fusha arabic and because the dialect continuum darija influenced by amazigh phonology which is using vowel reduction and consonant clusters so it becomes harder for eastern speakers to understand it. It's like the european Portuguese to the brazilian Portuguese but in reverse Absolutely darija has some impact in term of vocabulary from other countries who is surrounding the Mediterranean like amazigh language, Spanish, French.... .
