I was young, poor and living in ghetto. I had no idea how my future life would span out, however country music from Dolly Parton made me escape the unforgiving harsh life reality and kept me being a good boy in a turbulence world. Now I have PhD, thank you Dolly Parton.

@@Chris-kb7vo So true! This version is beautiful, but Randy Vanwarmer owns this song. He wrote it at the age of 18, and totally poured his heart and soul into this song. Sadly he died at the age of 48 of leukemia in 2004. He also wrote many other songs and was a gifted songwriter who never got the recognition he deserved.

❤❤❤ as I’m sitting here I’m listening to this song and I love the way Dolly is singing it on stage,❤ sometimes I think no matter how far someone is important to you. You always seen the new mask, even if they don’t realize it even if they’re in starland ❤ sometimes they don’t even realize how much they mean to you but you know in your heart that they mean a lot to you everyone needs someone I believe and I love the way Dolly sings that song with lots of love throughout the song she’s amazing. Love always Melissa.❤🎉❤❤❤❤🎉😊
