Simple Fix to HeadPhones Working on One Side or Only Works when Twisting Headphone Jack

You do not have to dismantle or take anything apart in this video. If you have problems with your headphones, earphones, or earbuds, in one device but then if you plug them into another device and it works perfectly then you may have a build up of debris, lint, fluff, dirt, or even a mixture of debris with stained coffee, soda, etc in your headphone jack.
Your headphones may only work on one side, randomly change sides, or cuts in and out. I show you how to get the debris out. Make sure have a brush toothpick like this one: amzn.to/28ZUTfO
Make sure the bristle is hard and not soft or it will not work. You should be able to get these or something similar at CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc.
You can also use a pipe cleaner with hard bristle such as this one: amzn.to/2980Wwi

It didn't work for me but I found the cause of this problem. Last part of the earphone's connector is responsible for left and middle is for right side. Left side stops working when phone's jack becomes loose for some reason. I put a piece of paper inside the phone's cover, over jack. It solved the problem. It will surely solve yours too.

Dude, I could not believe it was the dirt causing these issues but I was wrong and I'm glad I tried it out. I was shocked to see what all came out of that tiny jack hole. It was mostly lint & fluff and I had 3-4 times of what you had on the video. I have no idea how all that went there. Hahaha. You just saved my $75. Thank you. This worked! All my different headphones weren't working on my BB9900, so I knew the issue was not with the headphones. I twisted a thinned out q-tip in the jack, and it pulled out the tiniest residue of black lint. Now the jack is good as new. Thanks!

Thank you very much! I fixed mine in 5 minutes, and instead of cleaning with the hot needle because I was scared of the heat, I used a cotton swab at which I took away cotton and made smaller, deep in a little alcohol cleaned a little bit, and it worked, tanks again. +Dark Matter ah cool.. I've had this issue many times before too. You may have lint on the grill of the earphone. Take it off and put a lighter on it to burn off the excess lint then put it back in ur earphone. I'll do a video on this next time I have this issue it's really an easy fix.

you obviously didn't watch the video ... he said if your headphones don't work in one device but works well in another it probably has debri or lint in it. if you poorly take care of your phone then their is a chance hardened liquid or other things are in the headphone jack preventing you from hearing. This method should be used if thats the situation, if you watched the video. You seemed to have paused at like 30 secs and made a comment before even watching the whole thing.

I did this and after a ton of scrubbing with a alcohol dipped cotton swap and alternating with a can of compressed air finally I got it so I can at least hear SOMETHING in my right earbud, I could only hear through my left before this. Should I just keep scrubbing and scrubbing until the sound volume is equal in both buds? (they are clean buds by the way, it's the jack for sure)

Hey there iLuvTrading! I've had an issue with my earbuds from the right end being low, but I thought it was just tripping like it wasn't working well enough but then when I watched your video til the end when you said that they may have ear wax in the driver, I then realized and looked in there and it was like a tiny piece of wax sitting on the driver. So I'd grabbed like a tin wire and dug it out and tried them and they working just fine! Thanks for solving the solution to my problem! I would've known nothing about wax being inside the driver on top of it. 😎😎💯💯👌🏾👌🏾
