Welcome back, Anne and I have checked every night since your last video, hoping for a new update, and we were not disappointed, well worth the wait. You guys have been so busy, its a credit to you both. Limes can be used to make a yum salad dressing, thats what Anne uses in our dressings. We didn't like our blackberry and boysenberry plants taking over either so we have them in 60ltr tubs now and have a fence for them to grow on and no more wayward vines popping up where you don't want them. We also had some banana palm pups given to us from family in Auckland, we put them in warm sheltered spots and they took off, once frosts came we cut off the leaves and wrapped the trunk in frost clothe so that when spring comes with warmer weather they will take off. So they will grow in Waikato. However they need feeding to produce fruit, put heaps of foliage plant material around there bases to encourage them, cabbage leaves, comfrey calendula etc to break down and feed the palm. The calf shed will be a great asset for your rearing. The yard looks amazing with the hard work done to date. Well done.

@DonClark-eh3lq hey. Yes, I know it's been a while! But now spring is around the corner there will be lots to film 😊 salad dressing sounds nice! And that's interesting about the banana palms. I do have afew frost free spots. I could give one a go! But a great house would be the ultimate dream. 😊 thankyou for watching

Hello fellow kiwi! I don’t usually comment on videos but wanted to say I saw your calf raising series and I’m glad you are back. It’s so inspiring to see what you’ve done in 6 years here in NZ. Can’t wait to do build my lifestyle dream someday soon. Do you use your phone for recording ?

Wow looking fab team and so glad you’re back! Can I just ask about the solar panel at the gate? Is that a driveway alarm? I’ve been wanting to get on for our off grid property but haven’t yet settled on a good option. Are u happy with it and what brand did u go with? Thank u!
@thecurlefarm4 ай бұрын
@kiwianon468 hey. It's a solar panel for our driveway gates but for some reason the gate motor stopped working. It was only a cheapie. Somthing like $600 for the arms,motor and solar. We are looking into getting an electric one I think as on cloudy days the gates opened super slow!!! I'll let you know how the research goes if we find a good one.
