There’s no easy money in trucking!! Some might work harder, some may have it a little more laid back. But none of it is just easy!!! These youngsters have it severely confused.

The eventual end goal for all truckers should be sitting at home, with a small fleet that you supervise and dispatch. You don’t want to be behind the wheel forever. The goal is to build an empire and spend time with your family.

Everybody wants to make money off someone else’s back! My savings account was not given to me I earned every dime! That’s Truckin! Hard work ,persevering thru the tough time , seasons come and go, enjoying the good times, throwing chains , straps , and tarps in rain snow and freezing weather, pulling off that blindside , predicting what these 4 wheelers are gonna do before they do, kids doin the arm pump, lonely nights, long days, rude and self centered people, not being able to get home as planned, and so much more, Trucker up that’s Truckin !

Hard Work lmaoooo Sir trucking is not hard work lmao go lay concrete for a living.Roofing in the scorching sun or lay bricks.Flatbed I havent done but from what I see you are like 90 percent driving with the AC/Heater blowing at you while you sitting your ass on a seat and the other 10 percent actually securing. If you OTR you put yourself in that situation cause its plenty of local jobs in major cities so dont give me that gone and no life BS either.I been trucking 6 years from reefer/dry to fuel hailing tanker to end dump aggragate and it gets easier as time passes lmao.Trucking is fucking easy and Im grateful to be doing it and not breaking my back in hard labor and warehouse jobs like I was before I got my CDL

Don't be scared of buying cheaper trucks but for insight, I been onwner op for 7 months.... Truck 25k paid for, repairs in 7 months not including maintenance.. 14k in repairs I'll never get the money back in resale, but it's about keeping your truck making money for you. Many different ways, but my dad spent 70-80 in repairs in less than 12 months... He has a 2017 truck. Mine is old 2004

Aries gang gang...forgot what day your birthday is, but I always thought you were an Aries. It's my bday today. Paid my 3 year lease off title in hand, flying out tomorrow to pick up another lease. Could use a few perspectives on what to do with the paid off truck. It's a 17 KWT680 with 640k miles on it. When I was leasing, the biggest pitfall was getting a 5 week breakdown waiting on backorder parts. I figure I keep this truck as a back up for those situations, should the new lease have issues with it and they all do. Getting a 2021 Pete now. I want to put some TLC into the Kenworth now. Turning it into the dealership for an overhaul today. Birthday Smirthday...it's always business day.

Ultimately running not for everybody, even local drivers 14 hour shifts forcing your vision, not sleeping properly, some having to come back to the docks to unload, shit equipment, shit management, no real family time if you have wife & kids, eating shit food, no energy to hit the gym etc Only worked local & I see how fast time flys inside a truck, before you know it your kids graduating, wife losing interest, & you 50-60 pounds heavier & 10-15 years done went by What I learned in this short time of having my CDL is there was a time when Truckers made money worth sacrificing all this time away but not in 2023 with all these variables. Nobody respects you besides other Truck Drivers, not the company you work for, the broker in the middle, dispatch, other drivers on the road etc. Getting a big bag behind the wheel is great, til it’s not anymore. Get in this game, budget, & get out. Times of driving 10-20 years is over⌛️

I don't know all about this scam and stuff like that but I keep it real, I'm here to make money, not get-rich-quick, not easy money... not to be a "truck driver".. have an easy Regional job they get me back on weekly... I'm not looking to make a lot of money, just enough money.. don't plan on being in trucking for years... the one thing I don't do is b**ch about the work... I do my job and I go my a*s home.... I'm perfectly happy being considered a steering wheel holder... as long as I'm safe and make it home safe and make a decent income perfectly fine.
