Im so ugly (a letter to you)

Id like to make a side note on my poem, since you guys don’t read the description 😊. I don’t think Im ugly, I’m quite confident and think I’m really pretty, if you think I’m trying to rage bait or am pretty (I don’t really care what you think about how I look, but thanks for trying to be kind), that’s the point and I put makeup on for the reason of the poem. I think it’s important to know how readers portray my poem, but I’ll give you my insight on my own: I find so many ugly features and am so insecure in myself, but find so much beauty in others and whatever isn’t myself, only to realize I am just as beautiful. I wrote this for people who feel insecure and believe their features define their lives, and a new way to look at yourself. Thanks so much for watching, I don’t want to post poetry 100% of the time but don’t really know what else to post, lol.

1:11 don't worry... i do that all the time too, it's normal to only look for errors in yourself and not the beautiful things. i think your hair is nice, it looks soft, and subtly curled hair is really pretty imo. 1:37 my father tells me that the weird people are the funnest to be around. they don't abandon their real personality to stick to the trend or whatever to get "cool" friends, they are just a person. i would even say a normal person. I saw your comment, but I wanted to write this anyways. It's a masterpiece of a poem. It's nice to be reminded that genuine people still exist in this world of brain rot and chaos.

i cried in bed listening to this. when you called yourself ugly i looked at the screen with tears in m eyes. when you described your best friend, i cried. thats crazy, to be loved like this. how unfair this world is. and here i am. an 18 year old girl, who needs to starve for 20 days so i can finally be underweight, and love myself a little. since i have no parents who love me. no friends. nobody but characters in other worlds. and on top of that, i need a rhinoplasty.

Hi girlie, I just wanted to say that I know what you're going through or that at least I can project my own experiences onto what you're saying. Sorry in advance if I say something incorrectly because English isn't my first language! You're not in any way ugly, it's sad that the world has convinced you of such a lie. There's probably someone in this planet that has all your features in an opposite way and it's still being considered ‘ugly’. I find an strange comfort in relating to your letter, we don't have anything related to physical appearance in common yet I felt the same things as you do when I was younger. Isn't it sad and beautiful at the same time? I just wanted to say that it will get better. If you make an effort to care less and less about your appearance, overtime, you'll remember this letter with compassion instead of relating to it. I really, really hope it gets better for you. Also, thank you, it was a beautiful video, you're very talented. You say that your face isn't a statement, then let your voice be it.
