I'm a 55yro black female and LOVE TOBY.. My bestie and I caught his concert in Atlanta when this song was HOT!!!! We were front and center without a CUP. We were given cups full of his Tequila. Everyone around us partied like we were 16 an snuck out the house. Every so often I throw a RED CUP BBQ---they have to bring their their own designated driver. After all we aren't 16 anymore. He is rarely at awards shows, yet he is the 3rd richest country singer in the world, behind Dolly Parton & Shania Twain. This performance is fun, however, when it comes to Toby, you are missing out if you don't catch the official videos. He can make a love song or a song about being heartbroken & still manage to make you laugh at the video for it. Tobey Keith is my favorite country artist. He HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW & I LOVE THIS BAR are a couple songs that are fun and the videos to them are great.

Toby Keith has a very interesting career arc. His mid-late 90s hits, such as "Should Have Been a Cowboy," "Who's That Man?," and "He Ain't Worth Missing," are a little different and more traditional straight forward country. "Should Have Been a Cowboy" was his debut and flew to #1 and is STILL a great listen. As he got a little more popular they took a humorous/sarcastic turn starting with "Getcha Some" and moving to songs like "How Do You Like Me Now" and "i Wanna Talk about Me!" That continued to songs like "Who's Your Daddy" and "Beer for my Horses." Don't get me wrong, he still put out songs with serious tones but his more upbeat (sort of silly) songs really seemed to stand out. "The Angry American" was massive at that time (I don't think it ages well as time passes). "As Good as I Once Was" is a light hearted song as well and was big. TK has a massive list of hits and is one hell of an entertainer. And then there is "Red Solo Cup." It absolutely kills me that there are people who hate this song. I can't figure out HOW you can hate it. It isn't mean spirited. It is silly. Funny. And NOT MEANT TO BE SERIOUS. It is meant to be goofy and fun and humorous. It is a drunken man's love song to the item which holds his love. It is gold! And catchy as hell!
