Ok, my fellow Gen-X dudes who came of age in the late 70s/early 80s... You know why you tuned into shows like Circus of the Stars and Battle of the Network Stars. It wasn't to witness a dazzling display of athletic prowess. It was because you wanted to see all the women you lusted after on TV in various states of undress. Be honest. I remember this CotS episode very well. I got to see more of Randi Oakes than I ever got to see on CHiPs, which was like a gift from Heaven.

Amazing. TV stars were so squeaky clean, with hardly any cellulite and very low bmi and body fat. Everyone was naturally thin with little processed food. They were All American with so much courage and athletic ability

Despite these actors attempts to have this destroyed.... I can't put into words how wonderful the 70s and early 80s were. Like a magical paradise, compared to now! We can say we actually lived, and grew up, without cameras and technology watching our every move. Terrorists didn't take freedom away, America's own government and Ruling Class, took freedom away. Like no one ever even died for it. It's disgusting...

I love the big stars that appeared...but I feel sorry for the wild cats which is just cruel...being poked by a stick with a loud audience around them including the elephants because they always have a dark back story when they are trained to do these talented things...they get poked and whipped just to get the performance right when training...it's a good thing they no longer do this anymore in most states.

Imagine what would happen if while he riding the motorcycle toward the double walls of fire his assistant sneakily puts out the fire without him finding out either that or his motorcycle either runs out of gas half way through the act or his motorcycle doesn't start when he is ready to do the act

The Animal stuff being cut out. Would make no difference. You could never get away with putting Stars in physical danger today. Unless they had been out of the spotlight. Needed money / exposure, & signed a waiver.

The show was good, loved the commercials. But hated the animal acts. Feel very sorry for them. Barbie Benton sounded very cruel giving the demands. Then if the cats get tired of the sticks and being used as entertainment and retaliate it's their fault. I couldn't do it as a cat, someone would end up as my chew toy. J.s.
