I use that on my lawn for poa annua about two weeks ago. It's working, the weed is yellowing. Also Prodiamine worked in reducing poa by over 50%.

4 years late to comment, but I want to show my appreciation. I went to school for Biology (useless degree) and I recently moved to MI from the Southwest. There’s undesired plants up here I never thought existed, and I’ve been watching these KZbin videos and your video is the only one that showed the functional group for the chemical formula. I’m excited to try this product because it will act as an amylase inhibitor (any seeds in ground won’t germinate). These other landscaping videos are so scary because they’re using multiple different chemicals like quinclorac and glyphosate and never provide the functional groups for those chemicals so I need to research them outside the video. I know, it’s a small part of what y’all do but I appreciate you saving me time.

It's best to spray it in the fall and wait until next spring. I had some poa patches that I sprayed that are now browned out and dead. I raked up the vast majority of it today and look forward to a desirable grass taking over it's territory.

I always mix a little of the red label Image with my 3 way broadleaf killer just in case I see some sedges growing in my zoysia. 2020 is the year of BYD and BGC!

I pre-germinated and have a beautiful stand of 3” tall Bermuda now, the grass is showing tillering, but no stolons yet. We’ve had a lot of rain and HOT HOT HOT in the last few days, I did an application of liquid N2 (DEF @ 10-12 oz. per 1000 sqf), since the N2 spray the Nutsedge and Dollar Weed have gone crazy and almost completely taken over the area. I read the University of Arkansas study on Establishing Bermuda Grass Turf, it says Image can be applied 3 WAES. Do you think it’s too early to hit the Bermuda with Image? Or should I wait?

Is it important to kill those first before dethatching/aerating/over seeding or does it not matter?Also, regarding those massive patches of POA. Once they are dead, do I need to pull them up to allow the Bermuda to come in? will the Bermuda naturally take over those spots if I over seed around there?

I appled Image, as per instructions, to kill Poa Annua on my dormant Bermuda grass and it didn't kill it after 5 weeks. I re-applied another treatment and the Poa Annua still didn't die after additional 5 weeks. I decided to hand pull the Poa Annua from my lawn. When Bermuda came out of dormancy, my Bermuda lawn was severely damaged. If you read the fine print on the Image label, it says it can cause damage to Bermuda even if it's dormant. I would never use Image products again.

I'm in CA and just had some St Augustine sod laid. as the sod was growing so was this Poa. Me not knowing, I thought it was grass and the guy who laid the sod won't come back to help. Will this work in my area. We are not getting much rain, but I do water every other day. My grass gets a lot of sun but there some shade spot with the movement of the sun. They have a formula in the Purple bottle for Centipede and St Augustine. It can help but not sure you can get it in Cali because it prop 66 🤷🏾‍♂️

As I got to looking at the many different formulations of Image, some with various/differing active ingredients, I went back to the article I was reading and noticed that they specifically mentioned Imazaquin. I was mostly hoping to find out if someone has had experience using the product on asiatic jasmine and if it worked and what special tips they might have for enhancing its effectiveness. Thanks!

Jeremy S bothers do the same, no need to use at same time, but if your asking can you use granular at one app, then apply a liquid app next time the answer is yes. What ever weeds still emerge you’ll need to use a post emergent.

You should be good but you may get a slight yellowing if you treating entire lawn. But if you just spraying the POA is gonna die slowly and the lawn may be slightly yellow but will recover. Or you can let’s it die naturally when temps stay conse

I just sprayed my poa with a new product Negate 37 wg . Very low use 1.5 oz treats a whole acre. Used 15 GRAINS in a gallon to spot spray. Used a reloading scale to measure. Too much rain in north Alabama has got the poa breaking out.

BYD. WIth your videos I finally know what is going on with my Bermuda Lawn. I had a terrible Poa Annua infestation and I used the Image Red Label and it worked. Clear results showing after 11 days, dead in about 3 weeks on my North Dallas TX Lawn. There is so much dead Poa Annua that I fear it is prohibiting the Bermuda from spreading. Will my Bermuda come back faster if this dead Poa Annua is removed? I have 16k sqft of lawn.
