There's probably always going to be a new exciting upgraded camera. If not careful, someone could go broke before their career even gets started. When it's your livelihood or passion it's pretty easy to get sucked in on feeling you need the latest and greatest. Especially when there's always "newer & better" coming out. Good video with good advice.

This video is really great advice, to not go after stuff you don't need or won't use. My first camera is the Canon 70D. I bought one that was hardly used it a few weeks ago for 500 dollars. It came with a camera bag, all the instruction manuals and CDs, and an 18-135 lens, and I couldn't be happier with the set up. I could have saved 200 dollars and just got a 60D, but the 70D has touch screen, and I honestly can't go without that feature. It doesnt have 4K, but 1080p is good enough. The file size is probably 4x smaller, because it's 4x less pixels. The biggest reason why I bought this and not a newer camera is because of the optical view finder. I can look through the camera and pretend to shoot photos, even when the camera is OFF. And as much as I love the screen, being able to just turn it off, while still being able to shoot, is amazing. I don't plan on upgrading any soon 😄

@ I still have the same digital cameras I bought back 10 yrs ago 5D mark II and the 6D I i still spot on film for jobs a Fuji Gx680 II AND MAMIYA 645 super

I thought I know everything about photography watching these videos on yt, I bought canon r50 and I am not on a halfway knowing photography not even videography. Just to let you know, I've been video editor for 5 years now, and I am deeply involved in this niche, but making things with camera is a different story.

You make great points. Everybody is now on the C400 bandwagon.Soon another new "toy" will come out and KZbinrs will be on that bandwagon. Imma get a used C500 Mark 2 or a Komodo X with the price drop.
