Untreated bpd is a kind of hell, but how abusive the person is is kinda dependent on the individual. I can’t say it doesn’t lead to abusive behavior though. My abusive parent has undiagnosed bpd and refuses to consider she could have it :/ changed my entire life. She never struck me or threatened to kill me, but the splitting and the gaslighting was hellish. I don’t understand and have no sympathy for someone displaying his level of disturbing symptoms and refusing to do anything to treat them. - Bpd-haver (it’s genetic) Also it sounds like he MIGHT be dating his FPs (bpd term, “Favorite Person”) which is a _*horrible fucking idea, never engage romantically or sexually with an FP. *_ Honestly people should tell their FP in platonic relationships too. They deserve to be aware of what an FP is and that that one sided relationship has formed- you can’t choose who your FPs are unfortunately. A quick explanation of an FP is, it’s like quickly becoming a stan of somebody you know irl; both the positive and negative aspects. It’s an incredibly unfair and one sided way to treat another person, that’s why if you have an FP you need to let them know if you want to keep interacting with them. It’s a horrible idea to engage intimately with an FP too because you’ll have them on a pedestal and they can take advantage of you (not what happened here) or if you’re a sick puppy like Alex, the swinging between idolizing them and despising them can lead to SA.
