Yes, just watching Imamu cook and speak with her family is so comforting to me. Seeing twists on recipes I grew up learning and how much effort they put into providing home-cooked meals for their family everyday is so precious. Not to mention their relationship with their daughter and husband is so wholesome. Maybe that's just because I never experienced any of this as a child? It's just very refreshing to watch and helps with my anxiety.

So I’m about to turn 21 and been living by myself for a while now, and I don’t know why but this video almost made me shed a tear. Just the music, the portions for your daughter, the care in the food. I had nowhere near the same diet but it made me remeber the quesadillas my mamá would make for me, the rice and huevos estrellados, when she would pick my lunch for work. It made me strangely emotional, thanks imamu for making me remeber my amazing mom

The size of the portions makes me think of the three little bears book. Like the little bit of scrambled egg and quail egg in a small bowl for the daughter.
