I hope you do try to experiment, and good luck! I grew up being a picky eater (not for any particular reason that I know of) but i noticed that cooking videos give me an appreciative perspective on foods i didn't like before. It's how I finally learned to love sushi for example. Another thing that really helps me feel less picky about food is REDUCING MY STRESS. I definitely feel like when I'm in a bad mood I'm less willing to put up with food I don't like very much.

those hand torn dango Imamu said were a local cuisine in her grandmother's home region of Japan are very similar to what those of us living in the American midwest and American south call 'dumplings' - she even put them into chicken soup, which is traditional for us. it's amazing the way that different cultures discover similar flavors. if you've never made American dumplings in chicken stock, you should try it. it's really good, and it's easy as well 😊
