Funny thing is I applied at GFS and they called me back but I was already going thru the hiring process for R+L, I’ll definitely keep them in mind for the future. And yes I understand the turn over rate on companies, most ppl just want everything to be easy.

@@Kylewraps no well to be fair the furthest I went to was Minnesota and that's because I was getting trained on doing 2- day routes so once I was finish with that I get trained on doing 1-day routes and once I am done with that you become extra board and you wait till there's a route available for u or if you want to stick doing extra board then you do whatever route they have available for you to do for that day

Yes, I’ve seen women delivering cases & doing transit (drop & hook). I actually have a female coworker who does transit.

I would really like to work for the company because of their reputation and I have people telling me that I shouldn’t because it’s backbreaking work. I’m used to physical labor, heavy lifting and using two wheelers. I say that you have to do what you’re passionate about and not listen to peoples opinion. Awesome channel !!

Man I applied for the driver trainee position in my area and it’s been 3 weeks I still haven’t gotten an email or call. Is this normal? I’m getting Impatient I just got my CLP like 3 months and I turn 21 in a week and still didn’t get contacted my any job smh 🤦‍♂️.

The timing in which they contact people is different from person to person. Reach out to them if you can and check the status. Gfs.com/careers Also, don’t wait on this one job opportunity. Keep applying to other jobs. Continue to have patience buddy. Many people are in the same boat as you.

Hey man, just curious, do you remember much about what your actual interview was like? Was it more difficult than others or pretty standard? I'm pretty excited I just had a recruiter schedule me for one in a couple of days, but kind of nervous about how they make it sound like a big thing, "don't expect typical interview questions", business casual attire, up to 1.5 hours etc... Just seems like a lot lol 😂

It was pretty standard bro. You can go to gfs.com/careers to see the type of questions they’re going to ask you. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “how we hire” and you will see the entire interview process structure. Nothing to be worried about my guy.

Just have a scenario in mind that you can tell them about from a previous job based on the question they ask you. It’s basically scenario based questions. Like tell me a time when you had to do this or that and what was the outcome or how did you handle the situation etc?

@craigadams3639 They’re going to find out anyway at some point whenever you have to drive one so might as well let them know up front. The road test might even be in a manual. Just know you aren’t the only one who’s been through it. I didn’t know how to drive a manual that well when I started with GFS. I learned over time. I still have my moments to this day where I’m off lol. It happens when you don’t drive it often.

Just depends on the route. The routes at my location start between 2:30am-4am until the route is complete. My coworkers average about 9.5-10hrs a day.

I doubt it. Some locations are off weekends & some aren’t. You would need to ask the recruiter if the location you’re interested in works weekends prior to applying.
