I use a Dolly a lot. I even took a piece of plywood and made the bottom bigger so I can put bigger objects on it. For a single senior woman that needs to move stuff by herself, it really helps out

Dear Lester, here's a thought for you. The alpha in a herd eats first and doesn't allow the rest of the herd in his space to eat until they are allowed. Never ever would the alpha offer food to the other horses, it diminishes his position. It boils down to keeping hand feeding to an all time low. Every time Rita moves into your space (bad manners) do a quick flick of your spanky flag stick. In a herd environment she would be nipped and kicked and she would learn very quickly to offer respect. Btw, you and Jami are an absolute credit to the human race. Your grit and determination to drive through every challenge thrown at you (very unfair) is truly astounding and teaches us all life lessons in survival ❤

I didn't think that the moving over of Rita and Roman looked chaotic. Just different because of it being dark. I thought that the horses did a really good job of following you over to the barn. You are absolutely correct......in areas where grain crops are grown, harvested and baled. However, in areas like the south where grain crops do not thrive, straw is not readily available. When it is available, it is extremely expensive which makes hay the best alternative for bedding. Have an incredibly blessed day! 😊

Remember when you'd unload 15 - 20 bales of hay at a time? Those days are long gone. Breathing heavy is expected. I remember us doing that kind of hay bale unloads. I miss the animals but not unloading all that hay. Getting older has it's downfalls lol. I love ❤ watching the animals on your videos. It helps me not miss our animals so much. 🙂🦋

We had a pulley overhead where hay needed to be stacked. Simple, inexpensive and saves your back. Besides using my dolly, I loaded a full ton of bails myself by using a pulley to place my hay bails in the second floor area. Yes, many stair trips, but saved my back big time.
