Hormona's growing on me. With a little bit of distance, I understand more that she's this season's stunt cast and that comes with its own challenges. There's probably a producer specifically assigned to poking the other queens with a knitting needle every time they see her, because they need storylines from the beginning in a room full of strangers. Unlike previous stunt castings, Hormona doesn't have the earnestness (Sugar & Spice, Kim Chi), come correct-ness (Aquaria, Sasha Colby, Miss Fame), maturity (Sasha Colby again, sort of Kennedy Davenport), or chillness (Adore Delano) to navigate the situation. So, in turn, she ends up being in that Ariel Versace/Courtney Act narrative position of being on the defensive all the time instead of getting to have an organic experience.
