I had the Action 3 and had a really hard time not getting distortion with an external mic. Even with the gain turned down all the way, it was still too loud and overblown. Only way I could get it to work was to switch to the DJI wireless mic setup with it was too bulky to work with and I got caught out in the rain and it got fried. When you are talking at higher wind speeds with lots of wind noise, no distortion or crackling? I would rather have the audio a bit low and boost it in post, than to have it blown out and unusable...

For all people thinking about using some of those amazon connectors just a head up! As a helmet mount the are ok but if you mount them on a bike or car the cheap ones break under stress and vibration! So don’t cheap out on mounts when its holding a 500 euro action cam! Can show enough footage of cheap ones bending and snapping

@@wagovan3686 All the original ones from gopro and dji are pretty solid and otherwise reputable brands laike ulanzi and stuff. Never overtighten your plastic stuff as it will cause stress on the materials. And you can buy alu mounts aswel but when you combine them with plastic also watch out for overtightening.

ive watched so many of your helmet setup and camera videos and i thoroughly enjoy all of them. But one question, I went back to an older one because it had the Scorpion Exo r1 carbon in it and it looked like you genuinely enjoyed that helmet over the Pista. Why switch back? Im probably gonna get the DJI over the Hero12 because of this video and the other vid u posted comparing them.

Nice video, cool channel. DJI has come out with an audio adapter that allows connection of a 3.5MM TRS microphone and simultaneous charging as it has both the mic input and a USB-C charge input. The adapter does seem to inherently reduce the gain even more than without it so if used you may have to up the gain settings on the camera. I use it along with a 10,000 MaH power bank stuck to the back of my helmet so battery life is no longer an issue. I dumped GoPro over the DJI OA4. No more clunky media mod, no more inexplicable freezes, no more overheating, no longer connection issues to see what and that the camera is recording from my iPhone on the quad lock. Unless in future GoPro resolves all that - and they’ve had multiple generations to do so, I’ll never go back. Hopefully OA5 will have a 1” sensor.

I have been motovlogging since 2018. Nothing fancy. I use GoPros with external power sources. The internal batteries just do not last long enough, for me. The GoPros, over the years, have been finicky and frustrating. I am seriously considering replacing them with DJI Cameras. Question: Can the DJI Camera have external power connected and at the same time have the mic connected. This would only be for the camera on the helmet.

Sorry brother but I have to let you know that the Exhaust note was not reaching out to mic Though if the Visor up or down. Another thing about the Super Duke is you Headlight clamp is setted up a bit higher then it should be, because of that you weren't be able to see your light on road at all. No Doubt The Quality of the Cam is Great & the test ride was pleast to watfch but itw was bothering cause I couldn't hear the exhaust not. Cause it's a motovlog channel so we need to hear the Exhaust notes clear & loud. So hope you'll find a way out. Thank you so much for this kinda informal video for starters. My chin mount adhesive started peeling off from the mount side also. I had to put some glue in between the chin mount and the 3m double sided tape.

Definitely seems like there's an issue with your headlight. It should not be that dim at all. Even with high beams on, it only lit up to the side of the bike.

Get an ND filter, set the shutter speed to 1/60 for 30fps or 1/120th for 60 fps, ISO 100-1600 is what I personally use and the camera manages it all
