Those refineries clipping in the walls, the walkways, the belts coming in from beneath in those frame supports, that was just truly beautiful. Thumbs up!!

Having watched you build this live on twitch, seeing how you edited down 8-12 hours of content into a 22 minute video is fascinating. Bravo Brother.

it looks so good with the trains going in and out the gates of that huge base. well done!!
@M3dicayne2 жыл бұрын
Signs are really useful to me. I use them literally everywhere... On train stations (like "Raw Oil 600m³/min), on production buildings (like "Iron Ingot Smelting 16x 30/min 480/min) and on power production as well. This makes it A LOT easier to directly catch what something produces and how much of it. Pairing it with colour marking all items involved in a production process (train cars, belts, production buildings, etc.) in a colour identical or close to the resource it transports or delivers, it is kinda nice to look at. Of course, there aren't enough paint jobs for all stuff, but pairing something that could not be mixed up, eases this (like Cement and Nitric Acid in a beige colour, circuit boards and nuclear stuff in a green-golden colour, etc.). But I am a huge fan still of your maxing out possibilities in the game and follow your Satisfactory content for a long time.

Seeing how this plant looked at the beginning gave me anxiety because it reminded me of how every ship I make in Space Engineers inevitably winds up a confusing and jumbled mess of conveyors and redundant block groups.
@TS-jm7jm3 жыл бұрын
i personally HATE brutalism, but i love industrial designs with conveyors, pipes, power lines, trains, and so on running around, kinda like looking at a circuit diagram.

For those concrete pillars on the front, i was feeling like having them come outwards at the same angle and rate as the brick on top. Give it a try maybe? Or not if you dont wanna.

I think it would look cool if the middle pillars were also put at 30 degrees and stuck close to the edge of the top slanted block. I think it would look fine if the pillars also just stop before the door if you do it that way

You made the reverse mullet building. Party in the front with business in the back.
@ARUCARDFTEPES3 жыл бұрын
I think the solution for the left side building is either indent a half block through the middle, or use a darker color like a stripe in the middle. Maybe diagonal windows too? Also, you show some great highlights for what soft-clipping can accomplish, very inspiring! :)

Suggestion, I think a center door will line up with the first layer on the refinery(lader to get up is on outside, while second one lines up with the wall) and also try adding beams to the frame blocks with the conveyors in it to hang from the ceiling.
@monad_tcp3 жыл бұрын
19:23 that was probably intentional on the design of the refinery, they must have a good grid they use to make the building, so things match up so flush. geez, the game developers are good at material design.
