I'm glad you enjoyed the tour! It sounds like it was an incredible experience. I’m curious, what was your favorite part of the tour? Were there any particular highlights or details that stood out to you? And do you have any other tours or experiences you're looking forward to in the future?

I did but maybe should have gone when I had more time and after all the construction is done as I am sure the new projects will turn out great both for visitor and animals. I have to say that my favourite was not so much the park or animaks but the size of the masoala hall and how the Vari's moved in there. You could hear them way before you could find them and there are many areas where all the animals could get away. So when you finally see one even if its only small part your like "there it is!" Haha.

We just witnessed the birth of an Impala this afternoon. The rhinos and giraffes were oh so curious and caring, wonderful to see that kind of behaviour in captivity.

Beautiful enclosures…the plantings are gorgeous. So nice to see the animals in natural settings. I am severely disabled so can’t travel. Thank you for brining this state of the art haven…hesitate to call it a zoo…to me! Though I would have started with the frogs, lol. Also very impressed by how relaxed all the animals were…the place is clear ding everything right.

This "Ethiopian highlands" cohabitated theme seems to be popular these days. We have the similar exhibit here at San Diego Zoo, except with Hamadryas baboons instead of geladas, with Nubian ibex and rock hyrax. It looks very similar actually to the one at Zürich. We also have another exhibit with rock hyrax, a different species from South Africa, cohabited with klipspringer and dwarf mongoose.

Honestly I think they dont get a lot. But good question to investigate. There are some spots where they have hql lights. Esp. For the Iguana.
